人既受炙、遂謗讟有權制災之天主；猶不知憣然悔改而稱頌威光。第五天神傾注其爵於獸座之上；舉國晦冥、人痛甚而齩舌、不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。

孰不寅畏兮大主、孰不頌美兮芳名。至善兮惟爾、普世兮共欽、共欽兮何故、睿斷兮彰明。

吾儕當拓開心胸、懽忻鼓舞、以歸榮於主！蓋羔羊之佳期已至、新人已凝粧而待矣！

海中生物遭殃者亦三分居一、舟楫被毀者亦三分居一。角三鳴、有巨星如炬、自天而隕、江河水泉之被其災者、三分居一。星名荼毒；故天下三分居一之水皆變荼毒、飲者多死、不堪其苦也。角四鳴、日月星三光皆三分食其一；晝晦光三分、夜亦如之。

越三日有半、天主之生氣入其屍身、二證復起、見者莫不駭愕。

爾時吾見一獸自海中出、十角七首、上有十冕、首上僭號無數。此獸望之若豹、其足若熊、其口若獅；龍以己之權位威力授之。吾見其一首似已中傷瀕死、後竟醫治獲愈；普世奇之、翕然風從。人見龍之以權授獸、
