「大祭司在眾祭司中職分最高，頭上澆過膏油，已經承受聖職、穿上聖衣，他不可披頭散髮、撕裂衣服。

“在弟兄中作大祭司、头上倒了膏油、又承接圣职、穿了圣衣的，不可蓬头散发，也不可撕裂衣服。

兄弟中為大祭司者、首沐以膏、任聖職、衣聖服、勿披髮、勿裂衣、

兄弟中有為祭司長者、既沐香膏、衣聖衣、任是職、則勿裂衣露項、

兄弟中首受膏傅、衣聖衣、立為大祭司者、毋露首、毋裂衣、

“‘ The high priest, the one among his brothers who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments, must not let his hair become unkempt or tear his clothes.

“‘ The high priest is the one among his brothers whose head has been anointed with olive oil. He has been appointed to wear the priest’s clothes. When someone dies, the high priest must not let his own hair hang loose. He must not tear his clothes to show how sad he is.

“ The priest who is chief among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose nor tear his clothes.

“ The high priest has the highest rank of all the priests. The anointing oil has been poured on his head, and he has been ordained to wear the priestly garments. He must never leave his hair uncombed or tear his clothing.

“ The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the clothes, must not dishevel his hair or tear his clothes.

‘ The priest who is highest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;

‘ He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;

And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head go loose, nor rend his clothes;

“ The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the garments, must not dishevel his hair or tear his garments.

And[ he that is] the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

“‘ The high priest– who is greater than his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured, who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments– must neither dishevel the hair of his head nor tear his garments.

“‘ He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.

那受膏、承受聖職、替代父親做大祭司的要獻祭贖罪。他要穿上聖潔的細麻衣，

摩西對亞倫和他剩下的兩個兒子以利亞撒和以他瑪說：「你們不要蓬頭散髮，也不要撕裂衣服，免得你們死亡，也免得耶和華向全體會眾發怒。不過，你們的所有以色列同胞都可以為耶和華用火燒死的人哀傷。你們不可走出會幕門口，否則你們都會死，因為耶和華的膏油在你們身上。」他們就遵照摩西的話去做。

會眾要把誤殺人者從復仇者手裡救出來，讓他回到他原先逃往的避難城。他要住在那裡，一直住到受聖油膏立的大祭司逝世。

大祭司撕裂衣服，說：「祂褻瀆了上帝！我們還需要什麼證人呢？你們現在親耳聽見了祂說褻瀆的話，

「亞倫的聖衣要留給他的子孫，他們可以穿上這聖衣受膏，承受聖職。接替亞倫做祭司的那位後裔，每次進會幕的聖所供職時，都要一連七天穿著聖衣。

然後，摩西把膏油倒在亞倫頭上膏立他，使他聖潔。

這就像珍貴的膏油倒在亞倫頭上，流到他的鬍鬚，又流到他的衣襟；

雅各撕裂自己的衣服，束上麻布，為約瑟哀傷了好幾天。

約伯站起來，撕裂外袍，剃掉頭髮，俯伏在地上敬拜，

大衛蒙著頭，赤著腳登上橄欖山，邊走邊哭，他的隨從也蒙著頭，哭著走上山。

「患痲瘋病的人必須撕裂衣服，披頭散髮，遮住臉的下半部，高喊『不潔淨！不潔淨！』

摩西給亞倫穿上內袍，束上腰帶，穿上外袍，套上以弗得，用精巧的帶子把以弗得繫在亞倫身上，然後給他戴上胸牌，把烏陵和土明放在胸牌內，再把禮冠戴在他頭上，在禮冠前繫上金牌，即聖冠，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。

你要為你哥哥亞倫做一件聖衣，顯出他職位的榮耀和尊貴。你要吩咐所有我賦予智慧的巧手裁縫師為亞倫縫製衣服，使他分別出來，做聖潔的祭司事奉我。他們要做的聖衣包括胸牌、以弗得、外袍、雜色的內袍、禮冠和腰帶。要為你哥哥亞倫及其眾子做這樣的聖衣，好讓他們做祭司事奉我。

之後，末底改回到宮門那裡，哈曼卻悲傷地蒙著頭匆匆回家去了。
