如果有祭司的女兒做妓女，辱沒自己，她就是辱沒自己的父親，必須燒死她。

大約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：「你的兒媳婦她瑪不守婦道，並且懷孕了。」猶大說：「把她拉出來燒死！」

不可辱沒自己的女兒，使她淪為娼妓，免得你們居住的地方充滿淫亂和邪惡。

善於管理自己的家，受兒女的敬重和孝順。一個人要是不懂得管理自己的家，又怎能照顧上帝的教會呢？

作長老的必須無可指責，只有一位妻子，兒女都信主、沒有放蕩不羈的行為。

你的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈必死在同一天，這就是我言出必行的記號。

將男女老幼全部殺盡，但你們不能傷害額上有記號的。你們要從聖所開始。」於是他們首先殺了殿前的眾長老。

那時，耶穌開始責備一些城鎮，因為祂在那裡行了許多神蹟，當地的居民仍不肯悔改。祂說：「哥拉汛啊，你大禍臨頭了！伯賽大啊，你大禍臨頭了！我在你們當中所行的神蹟，如果行在泰爾和西頓，那裡的人早就身披麻衣，頭蒙灰塵，悔改了。所以我告訴你們，在審判之日，你們將比泰爾和西頓受更重的刑罰！「迦百農啊，你將被提升到天上嗎？不！你將被打落到陰間。因為若把在你那裡所行的神蹟行在所多瑪，它肯定會存留到今天。所以我告訴你們，在審判之日，你們所受的刑罰將比所多瑪所受的還要重！」

錫安的罪人恐懼，不敬虔的人顫抖。他們說：「我們誰能住在烈火中呢？誰能住在永不止息的火焰裡呢？」

在耶和華的眼中，這兩個青年罪惡深重，因為他們輕視獻給耶和華的祭物。

如果有人娶妻，又娶岳母，便是大惡。要把他們三人燒死，使你們杜絕這種敗壞之事。

約書亞對亞干說：「你為什麼給我們惹禍呢？今天耶和華要降禍給你。」於是，以色列人便拿石頭打死了他和他一切的人畜，將其燒毀。

哪個人被指出拿了本該毀滅的東西，哪個人及其所有的東西就要被火焚燒。因為他違背了耶和華的約，在以色列人中做了可恥的事。』」
