猶大王西底家啊，你一定要聽耶和華的話。耶和華論到你如此說：你必不死於刀下；必平安而終，人要為你焚燒，好像為你祖先，就是在你以前早先的王焚燒一樣。人要為你舉哀說：『哀哉！我主啊。』這話是我說的。這是耶和華說的。」

看哪，率領我們的是神，又有他的祭司拿號向你們吹出響聲。以色列人哪，不要與耶和華－你們列祖的神爭戰，因你們必不能得勝。」

我要把我的網撒在他身上，他就被我的羅網纏住。我要帶他到迦勒底人之地的巴比倫；他沒有看見那地，就死在那裏。

你們即使擊敗與你們爭戰的迦勒底全軍，他們當中剩下受傷的人也必各自從帳棚裏起來，用火焚燒這城。』」

那時，神的靈感動耶何耶大的兒子撒迦利亞祭司，他就站在上面，對百姓說：「神如此說：『你們為何干犯耶和華的誡命，以致不得亨通呢？因為你們離棄耶和華，所以他也離棄你們。』」

『耶和華－以色列的神如此說：看哪，我要使你們手中的兵器，就是你們與城外圍困你們的巴比倫王和迦勒底人打仗所用的兵器轉回來，把它們聚集在這城中。我要在怒氣、憤怒和大惱怒中，用伸出來的手和大能的膀臂，親自攻擊你們；

沒有人能以智慧、聰明、謀略抵擋耶和華。
