Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Don’t take advantage of any hired worker who is poor and needy. That applies to your own people. It also applies to outsiders living in one of your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

“ Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.

“ Do not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether one of your Israelite brothers or one of the resident aliens in a town in your land.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:

You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages.

萬軍之耶和華說：“我必臨近你們施行審判；我要快快指證那些行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、在工錢上欺壓雇工的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居的和不敬畏我的。”

欺壓貧寒的，就是辱罵造他的主；恩待窮苦人的，就是尊敬造他的主。

欺壓窮人為要增加自己財富的，送禮給財主的，必致窮乏。

撒瑪利亞山上的巴珊母牛啊！要聽這話；你們欺負貧窮人，壓迫窮苦人，又對自己的丈夫說：“拿酒來，給我們飲用。”

他們踐踏窮人的頭，好像踐踏地面的塵土；他們把困苦人應有的權益奪去；兒子和父親與同一個女子親近，故意褻瀆我的聖名。

我的僕婢與我爭論的時候，我若輕視他們的案件，神若起來，我怎麼辦呢？他若鑒察，我怎樣回答呢？那造我在母腹中的，不也造他嗎？造我們在母胎裡的，不是同一位嗎？

因此窮人赤身露體流浪，他們因飢餓就抬走禾捆；他們在那些人的橄欖樹行列（“那些人的橄欖樹行列”直譯是“他們的行列”）內榨油，又在葡萄園裡踹酒（“又在葡萄園裏踹酒”直譯是“又踹酒池”），但自己仍然口渴。

“如果你的兄弟貧窮，在你那裡手頭拮据，你要資助他，使他可以與你一同生活，像旅客寄居的一樣。你不可向他收取高利，卻要敬畏你的神，使你的兄弟可以與你一同生活。你借錢給他，不可向他取利息；借糧給他，也不可要他多還。我是耶和華你們的神，曾經把你們從埃及地領出來，要把迦南地賜給你們，而且要作你們的神。“你的兄弟在你那裡若是貧窮了，賣身給你，你不可逼他作奴僕的工作。他在你那裡要像雇工和寄居的一樣；他要服事你直到禧年。到了禧年，他和他的兒女要離開你，歸回他本家，歸回自己祖宗的地業。因為他們是我的僕人，是我從埃及地領出來的，他們不可以賣作奴僕。你不可嚴嚴地轄制他，卻要敬畏你的神。

“你的兄弟，無論是希伯來男人，或是希伯來女人，如果賣身給你，要服事你六年；到第七年，就要讓他離開你得自由。你使他自由離開的時候，不可讓他空手而去；要從你的羊群、禾場、榨酒池中，多多地供給他；耶和華你的神怎樣賜福給你，你也要怎樣分給他。你要記得你在埃及地作過奴僕，耶和華你的神救贖了你；因此我今日吩咐你這件事。如果他對你說：‘我不願離開你。’他說這話是因為他愛你和你的家，又因為他喜歡和你相處，那麼，你就要拿錐子，把他的耳朵在門上刺透，他就永遠作你的奴僕；對待你的婢女，你也要這樣行。你使他自由離開你的時候，不要為難，因為他服事了你六年，應得雇工雙倍的工資；這樣，耶和華你的神必在你所作的一切事上，賜福給你。

在你裡面輕視父母的；在你中間有壓迫寄居的和欺負孤兒寡婦的。

踐踏窮乏人又除掉國中困苦人的，你們要聽這話。

你們要住在那家，吃喝他們所供給的，因為作工的理當得工資；不必從這家搬到那家。
