  • Ezekiel 24:9 - “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! I myself will pile up the fuel beneath her.
  • Deuteronomy 19:13 - Do not feel sorry for that murderer! Purge from Israel the guilt of murdering innocent people; then all will go well with you.
  • Psalms 109:12 - Let no one be kind to him; let no one pity his fatherless children.

  • Exodus 20:5 - You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.
  • Numbers 35:33 - This will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the land from murder.
  • Matthew 23:30 - Then you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would never have joined them in killing the prophets.’

  • Matthew 23:36 - I tell you the truth, this judgment will fall on this very generation.
  • Matthew 23:37 - “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.
  • Deuteronomy 19:10 - That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.
  • 1 Kings 2:32 - The Lord will repay him for the murders of two men who were more righteous and better than he. For my father knew nothing about the deaths of Abner son of Ner, commander of the army of Israel, and of Amasa son of Jether, commander of the army of Judah.
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:15 - For some of the Jews killed the prophets, and some even killed the Lord Jesus. Now they have persecuted us, too. They fail to please God and work against all humanity
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:16 - as they try to keep us from preaching the Good News of salvation to the Gentiles. By doing this, they continue to pile up their sins. But the anger of God has caught up with them at last.
  • Acts of the Apostles 7:52 - Name one prophet your ancestors didn’t persecute! They even killed the ones who predicted the coming of the Righteous One—the Messiah whom you betrayed and murdered.
  • Hebrews 10:28 - For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
  • Hebrews 10:29 - Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.
  • Hebrews 10:30 - For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The Lord will judge his own people.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 5:28 - “We gave you strict orders never again to teach in this man’s name!” he said. “Instead, you have filled all Jerusalem with your teaching about him, and you want to make us responsible for his death!”
  • Joshua 2:19 - If they go out into the street and are killed, it will not be our fault. But if anyone lays a hand on people inside this house, we will accept the responsibility for their death.
