  • Lamentations 4:6 - For the wrongdoing of the daughter of my people Is greater than the sin of Sodom, Which was overthrown as in a moment, And no hands were turned toward her.
  • Lamentations 4:7 - Her consecrated ones were purer than snow, They shined more than milk; They were more ruddy in body than pearls of coral, Their form was like lapis lazuli.

  • Deuteronomy 28:10 - So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will be afraid of you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:11 - And the Lord will give you more than enough prosperity, in the children of your womb, in the offspring of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:12 - The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless every work of your hand; and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.
  • Deuteronomy 28:13 - And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will only be above, and not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you today, to follow them carefully,
  • Deuteronomy 28:14 - and do not turn aside from any of the words which I am commanding you today, to the right or the left, to pursue other gods to serve them.

  • Lamentations 2:16 - All your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say, “We have engulfed her! This certainly is the day which we awaited; We have reached it, we have seen it!”
  • Lamentations 2:17 - The Lord has done what He determined; He has accomplished His word Which He commanded from days of old. He has torn down without sparing, And He has helped the enemy to rejoice over you; He has exalted the might of your adversaries.
  • Lamentations 2:18 - Their heart cried out to the Lord: “You wall of the daughter of Zion, Let your tears stream down like a river day and night; Give yourself no relief, Let your eyes have no rest.
  • Lamentations 2:19 - Arise, whimper in the night At the beginning of the night watches; Pour out your heart like water Before the presence of the Lord; Raise your hands to Him For the life of your little ones Who languish because of hunger At the head of every street.
  • Lamentations 2:20 - See, Lord, and look! With whom have You dealt this way? Should women really eat their children, The little ones who were born healthy? Should priest and prophet really be killed In the sanctuary of the Lord?
  • Lamentations 2:21 - On the ground in the streets Lie young and old; My virgins and my young men Have fallen by the sword. You have put them to death on the day of Your anger, You have slaughtered, without sparing.
  • Lamentations 2:22 - You called as on the day of an appointed feast My terrors on every side; And there was no one who survived or escaped On the day of the Lord’s anger. As for those whom I brought forth healthy and whom I raised, My enemy annihilated them.”
  • Proverbs 3:33 - The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the righteous.
  • Jeremiah 44:22 - So the Lord was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; so your land has become a place of ruins, an object of horror, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

  • Isaiah 24:11 - There is an outcry in the streets concerning the wine; All joy turns to gloom. The joy of the earth is banished.
  • Isaiah 24:12 - Desolation is left in the city And the gate is battered to ruins.
  • Malachi 3:9 - You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the entire nation of you!
  • Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
  • Malachi 3:11 - Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruit of your ground; nor will the vine in the field prove fruitless to you,” says the Lord of armies.
  • Malachi 3:12 - “All the nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the Lord of armies.
  • Jeremiah 14:2 - “Judah mourns And her gates languish; Her people sit on the ground in mourning garments, And the cry of Jerusalem has ascended.
