Hoffnung für alle - Zwar gab Gott ihm hier kein eigenes Land – nicht einmal einen Fußbreit –, doch er sagte zu ihm, dass ihm und seinen Nachkommen einmal das ganze Land gehören würde. Zu der Zeit aber hatte Abraham noch keine Kinder!

Deuteronomy 10:11 - Then the Lord said to me, ‘Get up and resume the journey, and lead the people to the land I swore to give to their ancestors, so they may take possession of it.’

Psalms 105:8 - He always stands by his covenant— the commitment he made to a thousand generations.
Psalms 105:9 - This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac.

Hebrews 11:13 - All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.
Hebrews 11:14 - Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own.
Hebrews 11:15 - If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back.
Hebrews 11:16 - But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
Genesis 17:16 - And I will bless her and give you a son from her! Yes, I will bless her richly, and she will become the mother of many nations. Kings of nations will be among her descendants.”
Genesis 17:17 - Then Abraham bowed down to the ground, but he laughed to himself in disbelief. “How could I become a father at the age of 100?” he thought. “And how can Sarah have a baby when she is ninety years old?”
Genesis 17:18 - So Abraham said to God, “May Ishmael live under your special blessing!”
Genesis 17:19 - But God replied, “No—Sarah, your wife, will give birth to a son for you. You will name him Isaac, and I will confirm my covenant with him and his descendants as an everlasting covenant.
Genesis 15:2 - But Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don’t even have a son? Since you’ve given me no children, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household, will inherit all my wealth.
Genesis 15:3 - You have given me no descendants of my own, so one of my servants will be my heir.”
Genesis 15:4 - Then the Lord said to him, “No, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir.”
Genesis 15:5 - Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!”
Exodus 6:7 - I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt.
Exodus 6:8 - I will bring you into the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will give it to you as your very own possession. I am the Lord!’”
Genesis 26:3 - Live here as a foreigner in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. I hereby confirm that I will give all these lands to you and your descendants, just as I solemnly promised Abraham, your father.
Genesis 15:18 - So the Lord made a covenant with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River—
Genesis 13:15 - I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.
Genesis 12:7 - Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants. ” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
