我立了志向，不在基督的名被称过的地方传福音，免得建造在别人的根基上。

且我務傳福音、不在基督已被稱之處、免建於他人基上、

吾之傳道、特選未聞基督聖名之各地、以免建築於他人之基上。

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

I have always wanted to preach the good news where Christ was not known. I don’t want to build on what someone else has started.

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation,

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

我们不愿意分外夸口，只要照神所量给我们的界限够到你们那里。我们并非过了自己的界限，好像够不到你们那里；因为我们早到你们那里，传了基督的福音。我们不仗着别人所劳碌的，分外夸口；但指望你们信心增长的时候，所量给我们的界限，就可以因着你们更加开展，得以将福音传到你们以外的地方；并不是在别人界限之内，藉着他现成的事夸口。

并且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶稣自己为房角石，各房靠他联络得合式，渐渐成为主的圣殿。你们也靠他同被建造，成为神藉着圣灵居住的所在。

因为我们是与神同工的；你们是神所耕种的田地，所建造的房屋。我照神所给我的恩，好像一个聪明的工头，立好了根基，有别人在上面建造；只是各人要谨慎怎样在上面建造。因为那已经立好的根基就是耶稣基督，此外没有人能立别的根基。若有人用金、银、宝石、草木、禾秸在这根基上建造，各人的工程必然显露，因为那日子要将它表明出来，有火发现；这火要试验各人的工程怎样。人在那根基上所建造的工程若存得住，他就要得赏赐。人的工程若被烧了，他就要受亏损，自己却要得救；虽然得救，乃像从火里经过的一样。
