今當去此一切、以及忿怒、怨恨、暴戾、謗讟並口中淫穢之詞、彼此勿誑言、蓋爾已脫舊人與其所行、而衣以新人、即以智慧日新者、循造之之像也、若此之人、無希拉、猶太、受割禮、未受割禮、化外、夷狄、為奴、自主之別、惟基督在萬有之上、為萬有之主、○故爾既為天主所選聖潔蒙愛之人、則當懷矜憫、仁慈、謙遜、溫柔、忍耐、倘彼此有釁、當相恕相赦、基督已赦爾、爾亦當如是、此外加之以愛、乃全善之綱領、願天主天主有原文抄本作基督所賜之和平、主於爾心、爾曹蒙召、成為一體、亦為此也、亦感主恩、當以基督有原文抄本作主之道、充於爾心、智慧具備、相教相勸、以歌章、頌詞、神賦、中心感恩而頌主、凡爾所為、無論所言所行、皆當為主耶穌之名而為之、且賴主耶穌謝父天主、○

故當去諸污穢及諸邪惡、謙遜而受所種於爾心之道、即能救爾靈魂之道、

我良人乎、我願爾歸、待風涼氣爽、日影已逝、日影已逝或作日昃影長爾必如獐如小鹿、越層巒叠嶂之山、層巒叠嶂之山或作比特之山

當去爾前行、脫爾舊人、即被惑人之嗜慾見壞者、

爾曹皆為光明之人、為白晝之人、我儕不屬於夜、不屬於暗、是以我儕不可如他人之寢、當警醒謹守、因寢者寢於夜、醉者醉於夜、惟我儕為白晝之人、當謹守、以信與愛為甲衣之、以得救之望為盔戴之、

當衣天主所賜之全身器械、使爾能敵魔之詭譎、蓋我所與戰者、非血氣之人、血氣之人原文作血肉乃主宰、權勢、轄此暗世之諸君、及空中空中或作天際之惡魔、故取天主所賜之全身器械、使爾遇難日能禦敵、成就諸事後、成就諸事後或作勝一切後仍能卓立、是以當卓立、腰束以誠、胸護以義、以和平之福音為備行之履、或作以和平之福音預備為履納於足、此外以信為盾、可滅惡者之火箭、以拯救為冑、且執聖神之劍、即天主之道、又常以神而禱、或作又恆感於聖神而禱用諸祈禱懇求、且為此警醒不倦、恆為諸聖徒求、

惟衣被主耶穌基督、爾為身慮、勿致縱慾、

夫光臨世、而人因所行者惡、愛暗而不愛光、定罪之故、即在此也、蓋凡作不善者、惡光而不就光、恐其所行被責、惟循真理而行者就光、以彰其所行、乃遵天主而行也、○

又語我曰、勿封此書之預言、蓋其日期伊邇、

殺人者黎明即起、殺戮貧乏、夜則為賊盜物、姦夫俟至昏暮、自蔽其面、自言無目見我、黑夜穿窬、白晝藏匿、不知何為光明、若此之人、皆懼晨光、視如死陰、人所畏之死陰、彼反愛之、

當是日人將以崇拜所製之金銀偶像、投諸鼢鼠蝙蝠之穴、

此預言、凡讀者與聞而守其所錄者、乃為有福、蓋日期伊邇也、○

故爾當去一切暴狠、詭譎、偽善、嫉妒、及諸毀謗、
