又因龍將權柄給了獸，就敬拜龍，也敬拜獸，說：『誰能比得過這獸呢？誰能對獸爭戰呢？』

我所看见的这兽，仿佛一只豹，它的脚像熊的脚，口像狮子的口。龙把自己的能力、王位和大权交给了这兽。

他们看着焚烧她时的烟，呼喊说：“哪一个城能与这大城相比呢？”

它在第一只兽的面前，施行第一只兽的一切权柄，强迫大地和住在地上的人来膜拜第一只兽，就是致命伤得了痊愈的那兽。它又行大奇迹，甚至在众人面前，使火从天降到地上。

它又被准许把气息给那兽像，甚至使那兽像能说话，又使所有不膜拜那兽像的人都被杀死。

随后，天上出现了另一个征兆：看哪，一条火红色的巨龙，有七个头和十只角，七个头上戴着七个王冠。

“这王任意而行，自高自大，高抬自己超过一切神明，并说荒谬的话来敌对万神之神；他事事顺利，直到愤怒的时期终结，因为那被注定的事必成就。他不顾祖先的神明，不顾女人们所爱慕的神明，也不顾任何其他的神明，因为他高抬自己超过一切。

可是，其余没有被这些灾害所杀的人，还是不悔改离开自己手所做的，不停止拜鬼魔和那些金、银、铜、石、木的偶像——它们既不能看、也不能听、更不能走。

以色列众人看见那人，就从他面前逃跑，极其害怕。

他们把自己的儿子和女儿祭献给鬼魔；他们流无辜人的血，就是自己儿子和女儿的血，把他们祭献给迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

他们将要与羔羊交战，而羔羊将胜过他们，因为他是万主之主，万王之王；与羔羊在一起的，是那些蒙召唤的、蒙拣选的、忠心的人。”

他反对一切被称为神的，或受人敬拜的，他又高抬自己在这一切之上，甚至坐在神的圣所里宣称自己是神。

不，我是说，外邦人所献的祭是献给鬼魔的，不是献给神的；而我不愿意你们成为与鬼魔有份的人。你们不能既喝主的杯，又喝鬼魔的杯；不能既吃主的筵席，又吃鬼魔的筵席。难道我们要激起主的嫉恨吗？难道我们比他更强吗？

对于他们，这世代的神把这些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他们不能洞察基督荣耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。
