他們有些人因自己的過犯成了愚妄人，有人受苦是因為自己的罪孽。

有人患病，由於他們自己的過犯、和自己的罪孽、而受折磨；

另一些是愚妄人，因自己的叛逆行徑和罪孽受苦。

愚人因其愆尤罪戾、罹於禍患兮、

愚人犯罪、而罹禍患兮、

愚人妄行作孽、便受苦楚、

或陷昏惑。積辜成疾。

Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.

Others were foolish. They suffered because of their sins. They suffered because they wouldn’t obey the Lord.

Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;

Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.

Fools suffered affliction because of their rebellious ways and their iniquities.

Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their guilty deeds, were afflicted.

Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

While the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the people, and Jehovah smote the people with a very great plague.And the name of that place was called Kibroth- hattaavah, because there they buried the people that lusted.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.

And I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, A young man void of understanding,

For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him; I hid my face and was wroth; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yea, I will recompense into their bosom,your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith Jehovah, that have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.

O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.For thine arrows stick fast in me, And thy hand presseth me sore.There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For mine iniquities are gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, Because of my foolishness.I am pained and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are filled with burning; And there is no soundness in my flesh.I am faint and sore bruised: I have groaned by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

And the cloud removed from over the Tent; and, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.And Aaron said unto Moses, Oh, my lord, lay not, I pray thee, sin upon us, for that we have done foolishly, and for that we have sinned.Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.And Moses cried unto Jehovah, saying, Heal her, O God, I beseech thee.
