So he made a solemn vow that he would make them die in the desert,

主乃發誓。傾覆頑強。使於曠野。終身徬徨。

So he swore to them with uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the wilderness,

So he lifted up his hand and promised that he would make them die in the desert.

Therefore he raised his hand and swore to them that he would make them fall in the wilderness,

Therefore, he solemnly swore that he would kill them in the wilderness,

So he raised his hand against them with an oath that he would make them fall in the desert

Therefore He swore to them That He would have them fall in the wilderness,

Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them, To overthrow them in the wilderness,

Therefore he sware unto them, That he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

So He raised His hand against them with an oath that He would make them fall in the desert

Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

I also swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them to the land I had given them– a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands.

Say to them,‘ As I live, says the LORD, I will surely do to you just what you have spoken in my hearing.Your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness– all those of you who were numbered, according to your full number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me.You will by no means enter into the land where I swore to settle you. The only exceptions are Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.But I will bring in your little ones, whom you said would become victims of war, and they will enjoy the land that you have despised.But as for you, your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness,and your children will wander in the wilderness forty years and suffer for your unfaithfulness, until your dead bodies lie finished in the wilderness.According to the number of the days you have investigated this land, forty days– one day for a year– you will suffer for your iniquities, forty years, and you will know what it means to thwart me.I, the LORD, have said,“ I will surely do so to all this evil congregation that has gathered together against me. In this wilderness they will be finished, and there they will die!”’”

So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

“ As I swore in my anger,‘ They will never enter my rest!’”

I will bring you to the land I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob– and I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD!’”

And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?

But Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I raise my hand to the LORD, the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth, and vowthat I will take nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal. That way you can never say,‘ It is I who made Abram rich.’

Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heavenand swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, and the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it,“ There will be no more delay!

For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say,‘ As surely as I live forever,I will sharpen my lightning- like sword, and my hand will grasp hold of the weapon of judgment; I will execute vengeance on my foes, and repay those who hate me!I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword will devour flesh– the blood of the slaughtered and captured, the chief of the enemy’s leaders!’”

When the LORD heard you, he became angry and made this vow:“ Not a single person of this evil generation will see the good land that I promised to give to your ancestors!
