Simon Peter answered,“ Lord, who will we go to? You have the words of eternal life.

Buy— and do not sell— truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

For they are not meaningless words to you but they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers.

because wisdom is protection as money is protection, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.

but test all things. Hold on to what is good.

Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.They came near the village where they were going, and He gave the impression that He was going farther.But they urged Him:“ Stay with us, because it’s almost evening, and now the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart,

Then He said to Jacob,“ Let Me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob said,“ I will not let You go unless You bless me.”

I had just passed them when I found the one I love. I held on to him and would not let him go until I brought him to my mother’s house— to the chamber of the one who conceived me.

They will be life for you and adornment for your neck.
