於是他們、和一切屬於他們的、都活活地下到陰間；地掩蓋着他們，他們就從大眾中滅亡了。在他們四圍的以色列眾人一聽見他們的號聲，就都逃跑，說：『恐怕地也把我們吞下去呀！』當下又有火從永恆主那裏出來，把那獻香的二百五十個人也燒滅了。

他就去；在路上有個獅子遇見了他，將他咬死。他的屍體被丟在路上；驢站在屍體旁邊，獅子也站在屍體旁邊。有人從那裏經過，看見屍體丟在路上，獅子站在屍體旁邊，就來，在老神言人所住的城裏述說這事。那帶神人從路上回來的神言人聽見這事就說：『這是那違背了永恆主所吩咐的神人，所以永恆主把他交給獅子；獅子撕裂他，咬死他，正如永恆主對他說過的話。』老神言人就告訴他的兒子們說：『給我豫備了驢。』他們就豫備。他去，看見神人的屍體丟在路上，驢和獅子站在屍體旁邊；獅子並沒有喫了屍體，也沒有撕裂了驢。

這些發表那地的惡報告的人、都因患疫症而死在永恆主面前。
