When they came there to the hill, behold, a group of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, so that he prophesied among them.

for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.For the one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people, but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.But the one who prophesies speaks to people for edification, exhortation, and consolation.

And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord.

One of them, named Agabus, stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine all over the world. And this took place in the reign of Claudius.

But while he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.And then a voice came from the cloud, saying,“ This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”
