瀆主之言、諸位已親耳聞之、於意云何？』僉曰：『罪當死！』

“ You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” They all condemned him as worthy of death.

“ You have heard him say a very evil thing against God. What do you think?” They all found him guilty and said he must die.

And whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.Jesus answered them,“ Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”The Jews answered Him, saying,“ For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

The Jews answered him,“ We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.”

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying,“ He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!What do you think?” They answered and said,“ He is deserving of death.”

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

She wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people;and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying,“ You have blasphemed God and the king.” Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them.They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people.And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.

Jesus said to them,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

And they said,“ What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth.”
