耶和華說：“我的意念不是你們的意念，你們的道路也不是我的道路。

“萬國都當奮起，上到約沙法谷去。因為我必坐在那裡，審判四圍的列國。你們要伸出鐮刀，因為莊稼已經熟了。來踐踏吧，因為壓酒池滿了，酒池盈溢，因為他們的罪惡極大。

神的豐富、智慧和知識，是多麼高深啊！他的判斷是多麼難測，他的道路是多麼難尋！“誰知道主的心意，誰作過他的參謀？”

看哪！耶和華的日子快到，人要在你中間分取你的掠物。因為我必招聚列國與耶路撒冷作戰，城必被佔領，房屋被搶掠，婦女被強姦。城中的居民必有半數被擄去，剩下的人民必不會從這城裡被剪除。那時，耶和華要出去，與那些國家作戰，像他以前在戰爭的日子作戰一樣。

我那被打的禾稼啊！我禾場上的穀啊！我從萬軍之耶和華，以色列的神那裡聽見的，都告訴你們了。

我又觀看，見有一片白雲，雲上坐著一位好像人子的，頭上戴著金冠，手裡拿著鋒利的鐮刀。有另一位天使從聖所出來，對那坐在雲上的大聲呼喊：“伸出你的鐮刀來收割吧！因為收割的時候已經到了，地上的莊稼已經熟透了。”於是那坐在雲上的向地上揮動鐮刀，地上的莊稼就被收割了。又有另一位天使從天上的聖所出來，他也拿著一把鋒利的鐮刀。接著，又有一位天使從祭壇那裡出來，是有權柄掌管火的；他向那拿著鋒利鐮刀的天使大聲說：“伸出你鋒利的鐮刀來，收取地上葡萄樹纍纍的果子吧！因為葡萄已經熟透了。”於是，那天使向地上揮動鐮刀，收取了地上的葡萄，把葡萄扔在神烈怒的大壓酒池裡。那壓酒池在城外被踹踏，就有血從壓酒池流出來，漲到馬的嚼環那麼高，流到三百公里（“三百公里”原文作“一千六百司他町”）那麼遠。
