他们得到启示，知道他们传讲这些事不是为了自己，而是为了你们。现在，那些靠着从天上差来的圣灵向你们传福音的人，已经将这些事传给你们了。连天使也想把这些事看个明白。

发现墓口的大石头已经滚到旁边，便进去，却没有看见主耶稣的遗体。正在猜疑之间，突然有两个衣服发光的人站在旁边，她们吓得俯伏在地。那两个人对她们说：“你们为什么在死人中找活人呢？

途中她们彼此议论说：“谁能替我们滚开墓口那块大石头呢？”她们抬头一看，那块大石头已经滚到一旁。她们进了坟墓，看见一位身穿洁白长袍的青年坐在右边，吓了一跳。

突然间发生大地震，整座监狱的地基都摇动起来，牢门立刻全开了，囚犯的锁链也都松开了。

毫无疑问，我们伟大的信仰奥妙无比：祂以肉身显现，被圣灵证明为义，被天使看见，被传扬到列邦，被世人信奉，被接到天上的荣耀中。

就在那时，圣殿里的幔子从上到下裂成两半，大地震动，岩石崩裂，坟墓打开，很多死去的圣徒复活过来。他们在耶稣复活后离开坟墓，进圣城向许多人显现。

周日清晨，天还未亮，抹大拉的玛丽亚就来到坟墓前，发现封住墓口的石头已经挪开了。

那时，天上上帝的圣殿敞开了，殿内的约柜清晰可见，又有闪电、巨响、雷鸣、地震和大冰雹。
