挪亚的日子怎样，人子的日子也要怎样。那时，人又吃又喝，又娶又嫁，直到挪亚进方舟的那日，洪水就来，把他们全都灭了。同样，就像在罗得的日子，人又吃又喝，又买又卖，又耕种又建造，

行事为人要端正，好像在白昼行走。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色淫荡；不可纷争嫉妒。总要披戴主耶稣基督，不要只顾满足肉体，去放纵私欲。

众人异口同声地推辞。头一个对他说：‘我买了一块地，必须去看看。请你准我辞了。’另一个说：‘我买了五对牛，要去试一试。请你准我辞了。’又有一个说：‘我才娶了妻子，所以不能去。’

“你们要谨慎，免得被贪食、醉酒和今生的忧虑压住你们的心，那日子就忽然临到你们，

神的儿子们看见人的女子美貌，就随意挑选，娶来为妻。

亚比该到拿八那里，看哪，他在家里摆设宴席，如同王的宴席。拿八心情舒畅，酩酊大醉。所以亚比该大小事都没有告诉他，直等到早晨天亮的时候。到了早晨，拿八酒醒了，他的妻子把这些事都告诉他，他就发心脏病快死了，僵如石头。过了十天，耶和华击打拿八，他就死了。

如果那仆人心里说‘我的主人会来得迟’，就动手打僮仆和使女，并且吃喝醉酒，

看哪，你的妹妹所多玛的罪孽是这样：她和她的女儿们都骄傲，粮源充足，大享安逸，却不扶持困苦和贫穷人的手。她们狂傲，在我面前做可憎的事，我看见了就把她们除掉。

在复活的时候，人也不娶也不嫁，而是像天上的天使一样。

然后要对我自己说：你这个人哪，你有许多财物积存，可供多年享用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快乐吧！’

当那日，万军之主耶和华使人哭泣哀号，头上光秃，身披麻布。看哪，人却欢喜快乐，宰牛杀羊，吃肉喝酒：“让我们吃吃喝喝吧！因为明天要死了。”万军之耶和华开启我的耳朵：“这罪孽直到你们死，断不得赦免！”这是万军之主耶和华说的。

挪亚同他的儿子、妻子和媳妇都进入方舟，躲避洪水。

你们以为降祸的日子尚远，却使残暴的统治临近。“那些躺卧在象牙床上，舒身在榻上的，吃群中的羔羊和棚里的牛犊。他们以琴瑟逍遥歌唱，为自己作曲，像大卫一样；以大碗喝酒，用上等油抹身，却不为约瑟所受的苦难忧伤；

弟兄们，我是说：时候不多了。从此以后，那有妻子的，要像没有一样；哀哭的，不像在哀哭；快乐的，不像在快乐；购买的，像一无所得；享受这世界的，不像在享受这世界；因为这世界的局面将要过去了。

那人领大卫下去，看哪，他们分散在全地面，吃喝跳舞，因为他们从非利士人的地和犹大地掳来的财物非常多。大卫击杀他们，从黎明直到次日晚上，除了四百个骑骆驼逃走的青年之外，一个也没有逃脱。
