前呼后拥的人群喊着说：“和散那归于大卫之子！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！至高无上的，和散那！”

人群中有几个法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣回答：“我告诉你们，若是这些人闭口不说，石头也要呼叫起来。”

耶稣进了圣殿，正教导人的时候，祭司长和百姓的长老来问他：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你这权柄的是谁呢？”

法利赛人彼此说：“你们看，你们一事无成，世人都随着他去了。”

祭司长和全议会寻找假见证控告耶稣，要处死他。

“论到基督，你们的意见如何？他是谁的后裔呢？”他们说：“是大卫的。”
