Jesus said to them,“ Haven’t you read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

耶穌回答說：「你們沒有讀過大衛的事蹟嗎？當時他和部下餓了，

耶穌對他們說：“大衛和跟他在一起的人，在飢餓的時候所作的，你們沒有念過嗎？

耶穌對他們說：『大衛和跟隨他的人餓着的時候所作的，你們沒有誦讀過麼？

耶穌對他們說：「大衛和那些與他在一起的人飢餓時所做的事，你們難道沒有讀過嗎？

耶穌曰、爾未讀大衛及從者飢時所為乎、

耶穌曰、爾不知大闢及從人饑時所行乎、

答曰、經載大衛及從者饑時所行之事、爾未讀之乎、

耶穌對曰：『爾豈未讀大維及從者飢時之所為乎？

He answered,“ Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

Jesus answered,“ Haven’t you read about what David did? He and his men were hungry.

He said to them,“ Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:

He said to them,“ Haven’t you read what David did when he and those who were with him were hungry:

But He said to them,“ Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions—

But He said to them,“ Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him;

He said to them,“ Haven’t you read what David did when he and those who were with him were hungry—

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

He said to them,“ Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry–

But he said to them,“ Haven’t you read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him;

Now, what is there to eat? Give me five loaves of bread or anything else you have.”“ We don’t have any regular bread,” the priest replied.“ But there is the holy bread, which you can have if your young men have not slept with any women recently.”“ Don’t worry,” David replied.“ I never allow my men to be with women when we are on a campaign. And since they stay clean even on ordinary trips, how much more on this one!”Since there was no other food available, the priest gave him the holy bread— the Bread of the Presence that was placed before the Lord in the Tabernacle. It had just been replaced that day with fresh bread.

Jesus replied,“ Haven’t you read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

Jesus said to them,“ Haven’t you ever read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?He went into the house of God( during the days when Abiathar was high priest) and broke the law by eating the sacred loaves of bread that only the priests are allowed to eat. He also gave some to his companions.”

“ But now, as to whether the dead will be raised— haven’t you ever read about this in the writings of Moses, in the story of the burning bush? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said to Moses,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

They asked Jesus,“ Do you hear what these children are saying?”“ Yes,” Jesus replied.“ Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say,‘ You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’”

Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures?‘ The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.

And haven’t you read in the law of Moses that the priests on duty in the Temple may work on the Sabbath?

“ But now, as to whether there will be a resurrection of the dead— haven’t you ever read about this in the Scriptures? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said,

Jesus replied,“ What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”

“ Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied.“ They record that from the beginning‘ God made them male and female.’”
