Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S house.And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD,[ saying], For[ he is] good; for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams,[ and] two hundred lambs: all these[ were] for a burnt offering to the LORD.And the consecrated things[ were] six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the[ other] priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites[ were] more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.And also the burnt offerings[ were] in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for[ every] burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was[ done] suddenly.

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice,[ and] mountain of holiness.And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they[ that] go forth with flocks.

Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.

For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon[ of wine].

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices[ shall be] accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land[ that was] not sown.Israel[ was] holiness unto the LORD,[ and] the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.

And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day,[ singing] with loud instruments unto the LORD.And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept[ other] seven days with gladness.For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel[ there was] not the like in Jerusalem.Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came[ up] to his holy dwelling place,[ even] unto heaven.

And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day,[ even] a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams,[ and] a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed[ him] unto the LORD[ to be] the chief governor, and Zadok[ to be] priest.

And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought[ that which was] good and right and truth before the LORD his God.And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did[ it] with all his heart, and prospered.

Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.And when these days are expired, it shall be,[ that] upon the eighth day, and[ so] forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.

Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which[ was] at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year,[ even] in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
