現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

然而，我栽種你為上等的葡萄樹，全用純正的種子；你怎麼向我變為外邦葡萄樹的壞枝子呢？

「你們知道樹好，果子也好；又知道樹壞，果子也壞；因為看果子就可以知道樹。

豈能在荊棘上摘葡萄呢？豈能在蒺藜裏摘無花果呢？憑着他們的果子，就可以認出他們來。這樣，凡好樹都結好果子，而壞樹結壞果子。好樹不能結壞果子，壞樹也不能結好果子。凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。所以，憑着他們的果子就可以認出他們來。」

為錫安悲哀的人，賜華冠代替灰燼，喜樂的油代替悲哀，讚美為衣代替憂傷的靈；稱他們為「公義樹」，是耶和華所栽植的，為要彰顯他的榮耀。

我為我葡萄園所做的之外，還有甚麼可做的呢？我指望它結葡萄，怎麼倒結了野葡萄呢？

義人要興旺如棕樹，生長如黎巴嫩的香柏樹。他們栽於耶和華的殿中，發旺在我們神的院裏。他們髮白的時候仍結果子，而且鮮美多汁，
