耶穌回答他說：「凡愛我的人就會遵守我的道，我父也會愛他，並且我們要到他那裏去，與他同住。

拿但業對耶穌說：「你從哪裏認識我的？」耶穌回答他說：「腓力還沒有呼喚你，你在無花果樹底下，我就看見你了。」

「我從你旁邊經過，見你在血中打滾，就對你說：『你雖在血中，卻要活下去！』我又說：『你雖在血中，卻要活下去！』

有一個撒瑪利亞婦人來打水。耶穌對她說：「請給我水喝。」因為那時門徒進城買食物去了。撒瑪利亞婦人對他說：「你是猶太人，怎麼向我一個撒瑪利亞女人要水喝呢？」因為猶太人和撒瑪利亞人沒有來往。耶穌回答她說：「你若知道神的恩賜，和對你說『請給我水喝』的是誰，你早就會求他，他也早就會給了你活水。」

兩個天使在傍晚到了所多瑪，羅得正坐在所多瑪的城門口。羅得一看見，就起身迎接他們，臉伏於地下拜，說：「看哪，我主，請你們轉到僕人家裏過夜，洗你們的腳，清早起來再上路。」他們說：「不！我們要在廣場上過夜。」羅得懇切地請他們，他們就轉向他，進到他屋裏。羅得為他們預備宴席，烤無酵餅，他們就吃了。

說：「我主，我若在你眼前蒙恩，請不要離開你的僕人走過去。容我拿點水來，請你們洗腳，在樹下休息。既然你們來到僕人這裏了，我再拿點餅來，讓你們恢復心力，然後再走。」他們說：「就照你說的去做吧。」

耶和華啊，你已經鑒察我，認識我。我坐下，我起來，你都曉得；你從遠處知道我的意念。我行路，我躺臥，你都細察；你也深知我一切所行的。

不可忘記用愛心接待旅客，因為曾經有人這樣做，在無意中接待了天使。

人子來是要尋找和拯救失喪的人。」

又要他使基督因着你們的信住在你們心裏，使你們既在愛中生根立基，

我們與神同工的也勸你們，不可白受他的恩典；

凡你手所當做的事，要盡力去做；因為在你所必須去的陰間沒有工作，沒有謀算，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

我要用智慧行完全的道。你幾時到我這裏來呢？我要以純正的心行在我家中。邪僻的事，我都不擺在我眼前；悖逆的人所做的事，我甚恨惡，不容沾在我身上。
