No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed;

No man who has any flaws can come near. No man who is blind or disabled can come. No man whose body is scarred or twisted can come.

For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,

No one who has a defect qualifies, whether he is blind, lame, disfigured, deformed,

No man who has any defect is to come near: no man who is blind, lame, facially disfigured, or deformed;

For no one who has an impairment shall approach: a man who is blind, or one who limps, or one who has a slit nose, or one with any conspicuous feature,

For any man who has a defect shall not approach: a man blind or lame, who has a marred face or any limb too long,

For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous,

you must present a male without defect from the cattle, sheep or goats in order that it may be accepted on your behalf.Do not bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.When anyone brings from the herd or flock a fellowship offering to the Lord to fulfill a special vow or as a freewill offering, it must be without defect or blemish to be acceptable.Do not offer to the Lord the blind, the injured or the maimed, or anything with warts or festering or running sores. Do not place any of these on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord.You may, however, present as a freewill offering an ox or a sheep that is deformed or stunted, but it will not be accepted in fulfillment of a vow.You must not offer to the Lord an animal whose testicles are bruised, crushed, torn or cut. You must not do this in your own land,and you must not accept such animals from the hand of a foreigner and offer them as the food of your God. They will not be accepted on your behalf, because they are deformed and have defects.’” (niv)

Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self- controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. (niv)

“ Woe to you, blind guides! You say,‘ If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? (niv)

You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? (niv)

Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless— not overbearing, not quick- tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. (niv)

He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. (niv)

Israel’s watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep. (niv)

For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. (niv)
