以色列眾人都從自己的地方起來，在巴力他瑪擺陣；以色列的伏兵從基比亞西邊自己的地方衝出來。

我說，雖即那貧窮漢的智慧儘管被藐視，而他的話儘管無人聽從，然智慧終是勝過勇力的。

城裏的眾人都應召來追趕他們；艾城人追趕約書亞時，就被引誘離開了城。

萬軍之永恆主這麼說：「以色列人從埃及上來的時候，亞瑪力人怎樣待以色列人、怎樣在路上阻擋他們，我是要察罰的。
