我們為甚麼靜坐不動呢？聚集攏來哦，我們好進入有堡壘的城，在那裏寂滅掉；因為永恆主我們的上帝命定我們寂滅，將毒苦水給我們喝，因為我們犯罪得罪了永恆主。

永恆主使他們在以色列人面前潰亂；約書亞在基遍大大擊敗他們，沿伯和崙的上坡路向追趕他們，擊殺了他們、直到亞西加和瑪基大。
