“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

“ Moses My servant is dead; so now arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

你卻要吩咐約書亞，鼓勵他剛強壯膽；因為是他要在這人民前面領路過去；是他要使他們承受你所只能觀看的這地。」

『你們要走遍營中，吩咐人民說：「要豫備乾糧，因為三天以內、你們要過這約但河，進去取得永恆主你們的上帝所賜給你們取為產業的地。」』

看哪，我的僕人，我所扶持，所揀選，我心裏所喜悅的；我將我的靈賜於他身上，他必將正義傳出到列國。

摩西把約書亞召了來，在以色列眾人眼前對他說：『你要剛強壯膽，因為是你要領這人民進永恆主向他們列祖起誓給予他們的地，是你要使他們承受那地為業的。

永恆主的僕人摩西死了以後，永恆主告訴摩西的助手嫩的兒子約書亞說：

『願永恆主萬人之靈的上帝立一個人來治理會眾，可以在他們前面出去、在他們前面進來、領他們出、領他們入的，免得永恆主的會眾如同羊羣沒有牧人一般。』永恆主對摩西說：『你要選取嫩的兒子約書亞、一個心裏有聖靈的人，按手在他頭上，使他站在祭司以利亞撒和全會眾面前，就在他們眼前委任他。你要將你的尊威給他幾分，好使以色列人全會眾都聽從他。他要侍立在祭司以利亞撒面前，以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷在永恆主面前為他求問，他和跟着的以色列眾人、全會眾、都要照以利亞撒所吩咐的而出，照以利亞撒所吩咐的而入。』

摩西在上帝全家忠信，他不過是做侍役，做以後要被宣講的事之表證而已。但基督治理上帝的家呢、乃是做兒子。我們呢、就是上帝的家，如果我們持守這因盼望而有的大膽與誇勝——的話。

再者，先前的人被立為祭司，是人數眾多，因被死攔阻而不能長期任職；惟獨他、因永遠長存、就有不能讓與人的祭司職分。
