“我若见恨我的遇难就欢喜，见他遭灾就高兴；

“我若见恨我的遭报就欢喜，见他遭灾便高兴；

“我若见恨我的遇难就欢喜，见他遭灾就高兴；

“我何曾因敌人遭殃而欢喜，因他们遇祸而快乐？

我若因恨我的人遭灾祸而欢喜，或因他遇患难而高兴；

我若見恨我的遭報就歡喜，見他遭災便高興；（

「我若見恨我的遇難就歡喜，見他遭災就高興；

「我若見恨我的遇難就歡喜，見他遭災就高興；

「我何曾因敵人遭殃而歡喜，因他們遇禍而快樂？

我若因恨我的人遭災禍而歡喜，或因他遇患難而高興；

『我若因恨我之人的敗亡而歡喜，因他的遭禍而高興；（

我若因憾我者被滅而欣喜、緣其遭禍而氣揚、

仇有禍、未嘗欣喜踴躍。

何曾因敵遇災而喜、何曾因其遭禍而踴躍、

“ If I have rejoiced at my enemy’s misfortune or gloated over the trouble that came to him—

“ I wasn’t happy when hard times came to my enemies. I didn’t enjoy seeing the trouble they had.

“ If I have rejoiced at the ruin of him who hated me, or exulted when evil overtook him

“ Have I ever rejoiced when disaster struck my enemies, or become excited when harm came their way?

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?

“ Have I rejoiced at the misfortune of my enemy, Or become excited when evil found him?

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him

If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?

If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:

If I have rejoiced over the misfortune of my enemy or exulted because calamity found him–

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him

你的仇敌跌倒，你不要欢喜，他倾倒，你的心不要快乐；恐怕耶和华看见就不喜悦，将怒气从仇敌身上转过来。

讥笑穷乏人的，是蔑视造他的主；幸灾乐祸的，难免受罚。

不容他们心里说：“啊哈，遂我们的心愿了！”不容他们说：“我们已经把他吞了！”愿那喜欢我遭难的一同抱愧蒙羞！愿那向我妄自尊大的披戴惭愧，蒙受羞辱！

至于我，他们有病的时候，我穿麻衣，禁食，刻苦己心；我所求的都归到自己身上。我如此行，好像他是我的朋友，我的兄弟；我屈身悲哀，如同哀悼自己的母亲。

他们为扫罗和他儿子约拿单，以及耶和华的百姓和以色列家的人悲哀哭泣，禁食到晚上，因为他们都倒在刀下。

从前有人告诉我说：‘看哪，扫罗死了。’他自以为报好消息，我就拿住他，把他杀在洗革拉，作为他报消息的赏赐。更何况恶人把义人杀在他家的床上，我岂不从你们手中追讨他的血，从地上除灭你们吗？”

你兄弟遭难的日子，你不该瞪着眼看；犹大人被灭的日子，你不该幸灾乐祸；他们遭难的日子，你不该说狂傲的话。

大卫王到了巴户琳，看哪，有一个人从那里出来，是扫罗家族中基拉的儿子，名叫示每。他一面走一面咒骂，又向大卫王和王的众臣仆扔石头；众百姓和勇士都在王的左右。示每这样咒骂说：“你这好流人血的，你这无赖，滚吧！滚吧！你流了扫罗全家的血，接续他作王，耶和华把这罪归在你身上。耶和华将这国交在你儿子押沙龙的手中。看哪，你咎由自取，因为你是好流人血的人。”
