困苦貧窮的人他給虧負了，人的物件他搶奪了，當頭他沒還給人，偶像他舉目瞻仰了，可厭惡的事他行了，

不虧負人，不索取當頭，不搶奪人的物件，卻將自己的食物給了饑餓的人，將衣服給赤身裸體的人遮身；

他們把孤兒的驢趕走，強取寡婦的牛為當頭。

（惡人從別人的母懷中搶奪孤兒，強取貧困人的嗍奶嬰兒為當頭。）窮人赤身無衣地流浪；食而不飽地扛抬禾捆；

『你借給你的鄰舍、不拘所借出的是甚麼，你總不可進他家去拿取他的抵押品。你要站在外面，讓那向你借的人把抵押品拿出來給你。他若是個貧困的人，你不可留他的抵押品而去睡覺。日落的時候、你總要把抵押品還給他，讓他蓋着自己的外衣睡覺，他就給你祝福；這在永恆主你的上帝面前就算為你的仁義了。『困苦貧窮的雇工、無論是你的族弟兄、或是寄居在你的地你的城內的、你都不可欺壓他。你要當天發給他工價，不可等到日落才給他——因為他貧困，他心直掛念着那工錢——恐怕他呼求永恆主而控告你，你就有了罪。『父親不可因兒子的緣故而被處死，兒女也不可因父親的緣故而被處死：各人只要各因自己的罪而被處死。『你不可對寄居的和孤兒屈枉正直，也不可拿寡婦的衣服作當頭。要記得你在埃及做過奴隸，永恆主你的上帝將你從那裏贖救出來；所以我吩咐你要遵行這話。

『不可拿人的全盤磨石或是上磨石做當頭，因為那是等於拿人的性命做當頭。

我若見將要死亡的人赤身無衣，或見貧窮的人毫無遮蓋，他若不由我的羊毛而得暖，而他內心若不向我祝福感恩，

他們在各祭壇旁鋪開人所當的衣服去躺臥着，又在他們的神廟中喝受罰款之人的酒。

不虧負人，總把債務的當頭交還；他不搶奪人的物件，卻將自己的食物給了饑餓的人，將衣服給赤身裸體的人遮身；
