Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them,“ Whom do you seek?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour had come that He would depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

He then asked them again,“ Whom are you seeking?” And they said,“ Jesus the Nazarene.”

And when they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said,“ Lord, it is You who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,‘ Why were the nations insolent, And the peoples plotting in vain?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the Lord and against His Christ.’For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur.

But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray Him.

But I said,“ Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me who would go into the temple to save his own life? I will not go in.”

As surely as the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom to which my master has not sent word to search for you; and whenever they say,‘ He is not here,’ he makes the kingdom or nation swear that they could not find you.

For He knew the one who was betraying Him; it was for this reason that He said,“ Not all of you are clean.”

And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them,“ The Son of Man is going to be handed over to men;and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.” And they were deeply grieved.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.”

And as they were eating, He said,“ Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me.”

The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

saying,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will hand Him over to the Gentiles.And they will mock Him and spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him; and three days later He will rise from the dead.”

Now He took the twelve aside and said to them,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that have been written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be ridiculed, and abused, and spit upon,and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise.”

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled,* said,“ I am thirsty.”

“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.”

For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it back.No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back. This commandment I received from My Father.”

From that time Jesus began to point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee,saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.”

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.

If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident.

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’

Then Jesus* said to them,“ You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written:‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Now He said to them,“ These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that chains and afflictions await me.

Yet now you are saying,‘ Go, say to your master,“ Behold, Elijah is here” ’; he will then kill me!”Then Elijah said,“ As surely as the Lord of armies lives, before whom I stand, I will certainly present myself to him today.”So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and informed him; then Ahab went to meet Elijah.When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him,“ Is this you, the cause of disaster to Israel?”He said,“ I have not brought disaster to Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have abandoned the commandments of the Lord and you have followed the Baals.
