耶穌還在說話的時候，十二使徒中的猶大已帶著一群人趕到，他上前親吻耶穌。耶穌對他說：「猶大，你用親吻的暗號來出賣人子嗎？」跟隨耶穌的人見他們來勢洶洶，就說：「主啊，我們該拔刀抵抗嗎？」其中一人拔刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍過去，削掉了他的右耳。耶穌卻說：「住手！夠了！」於是祂摸那奴僕的耳朵，治好了他，然後對前來抓祂的祭司長、聖殿護衛長和長老說：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？我天天和你們一起在聖殿裡，你們沒有抓我。但現在正是黑暗當權、你們得勢的時候了！」

「弟兄們，關於帶人抓耶穌的猶大，聖靈藉著大衛的口早已預言，這經文必須要應驗。

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒中的猶大來了，隨行的還有祭司長和民間長老派來的一大群拿著刀棍的人。出賣耶穌的猶大預先和他們定了暗號，說：「我親吻誰，誰就是耶穌，你們把祂抓起來。」猶大隨即走到耶穌跟前，說：「老師，你好。」然後親吻耶穌。耶穌對他說：「朋友，你要做的事，快動手吧。」於是那些人上前，下手捉拿耶穌。耶穌的跟隨者中有人伸手拔出佩刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他一隻耳朵。耶穌對他說：「收刀入鞘吧！因為動刀的必死在刀下。難道你不知道，我可以請求我父馬上派十二營以上的天使來保護我嗎？我若這樣做，聖經上有關這事必如此發生的話又怎能應驗呢？」那時，耶穌對眾人說：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？我天天在聖殿裡教導人，你們並沒有來抓我。不過這一切事的發生，是要應驗先知書上的話。」那時，門徒都丟下祂逃走了。

吃晚飯的時候，魔鬼已經把出賣耶穌的念頭放在加略人西門的兒子猶大的心裡。

我被許多仇敵圍困，他們像巴珊的公牛那樣強壯。

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒之一的猶大已帶了一群人拿著刀棍迎面而來。他們奉了祭司長、律法教師和長老之命來捉拿耶穌。出賣耶穌的猶大預先和他們定了暗號，說：「我親吻誰，誰就是耶穌，你們把祂抓起來，小心押走。」猶大隨即走到耶穌跟前說：「老師。」然後就親吻耶穌。其他人就下手捉拿耶穌。站在旁邊的一個門徒拔出刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他一隻耳朵。耶穌問那群人：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？我天天和你們在一起，在聖殿裡教導人，你們沒有來抓我。你們現在這樣做是要應驗聖經的話。」那時，門徒都撇下耶穌，各自逃命去了。

耶和華啊，我的敵人何其多！反對我的人何其多！他們都說上帝不會來救我。（細拉）

猶大吃了以後，撒旦就進了他的心。耶穌對他說：「你要做的事，趕快去做吧！」同桌吃飯的人沒有人明白耶穌這話的意思。因為猶大是管錢的，有人以為耶穌是叫他去買過節的用品，或者去賙濟窮人。猶大吃過那塊餅後，立刻出去了。那時候是晚上。
