我為葡萄樹、爾為枝、凡在我內而我在彼內者、則結果繁矣、蓋爾曹離我、則無能為也、人不在我內、則如枝被擲於外而槁、人拾之、投火而焚、爾若在我內、我言亦在爾內、則凡所欲者可求、必為爾成之、

若天主之神、居於爾心、則爾不屬肉體而屬聖神矣、凡無基督神者、不屬基督也、若基督在爾心、則身因罪而死、神因義而生、

彼日、爾必知我在父內、爾在我內、我在爾內、

人子、葡萄樹較諸他樹、有何長乎、葡萄樹枝、在林之諸樹中、有何勝乎、可取其木為材以備工用乎、可取以作釘懸什物乎、人投之於火為薪、火焚兩端、其中亦燬、焉能適於用哉、其木尚全、猶難適於用、既火焚見燬之後、豈非更不適於用乎、

遺沃壤者、指人聽道、以善良之心守之、且恆忍以結實、○

故爾既承受主耶穌基督、則當從之而行、

我在彼內、爾在我內、使彼成全為一、致世知爾遣我、亦知爾愛彼、如爾愛我然、

此奧妙傳於異邦人中、蓋天主欲使聖徒知此奧妙之大榮此奧妙之大榮原文作此奧妙之榮之豐富何如、此奧妙即基督在爾中、使爾賴之可望得榮、

堅門徒心、勸其恆信、又言我儕欲入天主國、必歷多難、

爾當自省信主否、亦當自試、抑爾不自知、爾若非見棄者、則耶穌基督必在爾中乎、

使基督因信而居爾心、使爾於仁愛、根深基固、

既至、見天主之恩甚喜、乃勸眾堅心從主、

惟爾止於信、堅立於基、不移於福音之望、此福音、乃爾所聞、已傳於天下萬人、我保羅為此福音之役焉、○

以法蓮將云、我與偶像何涉、我耶和華必應允之、眷顧之、我若根深葉茂之柏樹、爾欲獲果、惟由我而獲、爾欲獲果惟由我而獲或作爾惟賴我而結實

西門彼得對曰、主有永生之言、我尚歸誰乎、我儕信且知爾乃基督、永生天主之子、

我為此三次求主、使此離我、主謂我曰、我賜爾之恩足矣、蓋我之能、益顯於人之弱、故我欣然、寧誇我之弱、使基督之能庇我、是以我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、患難、窘逐、困苦為樂、蓋我弱時反強矣、

可愛者乎、爾當以所信至聖之道自建、感於聖神而祈禱、當以愛天主之愛而自守、希望我主耶穌基督矜憐、使爾得永生、

然我儕不屬退後而淪亡者、乃屬信主而靈魂得救者也、

故我不能忍、復遣人欲知爾之信、恐試者惑爾、而我儕之勞徒然、

自野而來、倚其良人者誰乎、我在蘋果樹下、始感爾、爾母劬勞生爾原在彼、生爾之母在彼產育爾、

平素鞏固之城垣荒蕪、昔日居處之宅第見棄、淒涼如野、牛犢牧於彼、臥於彼、食盡其枝、枝條枯槁、必被毀折、婦女拾取、用以燃火、因此民蒙昧無知、故造之者不憫之、作之者不向之施恩、
