大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天和地之間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都披上麻布，臉伏於地。

有火從耶和華面前出來，焚燒了壇上的燔祭和脂肪；全體百姓一看見，就都歡呼，臉伏於地。

門徒聽見，就俯伏在地，極其害怕。

大衛在那裏為耶和華築了一座壇，獻燔祭和平安祭，求告耶和華。耶和華就應允他，使火從天降在燔祭壇上。

在他們頭上的穹蒼之上有寶座的形像，彷彿藍寶石的樣子；寶座的形像上方有彷彿人的樣子的形像。

我聽見他說話的聲音；一聽見他說話的聲音，我就沉睡，臉伏於地。

他是神榮耀的光輝，是神本體的真像，常用他大能的命令托住萬有。他洗淨了人的罪，就坐在高天至大者的右邊。

他們邊走邊說話的時候，看哪，有火馬和火焰車出現，把二人隔開，以利亞就乘旋風升天去了。

亞伯蘭臉伏於地；神又對他說：

神上升，有喊聲相送；耶和華上升，有角聲相送。
