The Sovereign Lord has given me a well- instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.

The Lord and King has taught me what to say. He has taught me how to help those who are tired. He wakes me up every morning. He makes me want to listen like a good student.

人對答合宜、自覺喜悅、應時之言、何其美哉、

我黎明起而籲懇、我惟盼望主之訓言、

眾稱譽之、奇其口中所出之嘉言、曰、此非約瑟子乎、

我倚賴主、求主使我清晨得聽主之恩言、我心中仰望主、求主指示我以當行之路、

眾無辭以對、嗣後無敢復問之者、

凡勞苦負重者、當就我、我將賜爾以安、

至故土、在其會堂教誨、眾奇之曰、此人由何而得此智慧異能、

至高至上永生、名為聖主者如是云、我雖居至高聖所、亦與痛悔者虛心者偕居、使謙卑者心蘇、使痛悔者心蘇、我必不永遠斥責、不恆久震怒、恐我所造之人、心神困憊、緣其貪婪之罪、我怒而責之、震怒向之掩面、彼仍隨其乖戾之心、今我見其道我將醫之、導之以行、加以慰藉、慰藉其憂傷之人、我必使其口讚頌我、我賜平康、賜平康於遠者近者、且我將醫之、此乃主所言、

求主清晨俯聽我聲、清晨我向主陳詞禱告、遂即盼望、

爾秀美遠勝世人、口吐文雅、因此天主賜福於爾、永世無窮、
