耶和華使斯土荒蕪、國家傾覆、居民離散、若庶人若祭司、若僕若主、若婢女、若主母、若鬻諸人、若購於人、若貸人以金、若借人之金、若得子母、若納子母者、俱必流離失所、斯地必為邱墟、刧掠殆盡、耶和華已言之矣。

四方列國必致荒蕪、使人駭愕、惟彼億兆、服事巴比倫王、歷七十年。

維爾播種之時、主必降雨、則五穀豐登、百物繁茂、爾之群畜、牧於場圃、

爾所覆之天、所載之地、必堅若銅鐵。耶和華使天不降雨澤、惟降塵沙、迨爾殲滅。

異邦人所奉之偶像、豈能使天沛以膏澤、降以甘霖、爾耶和華為我上帝、肇造萬物、故我賴爾。

後竟背教、其不克悔改自新、猶復釘上帝子於十字架、而顯辱之、譬如土壤、時雨潤之、百物生之、農夫利之、上帝培之、若其叢生荊棘、則人棄之、終必被詛、而爇以火、

我曰主歟、將至何時、曰、迨乎城垣傾圮、土地荒蕪、室廬寂寞、無人居之、斯土之民、我耶和華必徙諸遠邦、故土蕭條、

我民之田、斯邑之室、昔則欣然喜悅、今則荊棘叢生、宮闕毀圮、邑民離散、城堞戍樓、竟成荒竇、野驢遨遊、群畜嚙蒭、

以色列族無王公、無祭祀、無公服、不奉雕柱、不事偶像、

基列之的庇人、以利亞告亞哈曰、我指所事以色列族之上帝耶和華而誓、今以後、數年間雨露不降、惟我言是聽。

二證能閉塞穹蒼、傳道時、甘霖不沛、亦能變水成血、無論其時、任意降災、

我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒寂爾居、掃除爾邑。爾既轉徙於敵國、則斯土荒寂、其壤可享安息。汝居斯土、遇安息日期、壤無憩息、故荒寂時、可獲憩息。
