因此，火舌怎样吞灭碎秸，干草怎样落在火焰之中，照样，他们的根必像腐朽之物，他们的花必像尘土飞扬；因为他们弃绝万军之耶和华的训诲，藐视以色列圣者的话。

因此，火舌怎样吞噬麦秸，干草怎样倒在火焰中，照样，他们的根也必像腐朽之物，他们的花必像尘土飞散；因为他们厌弃万军之耶和华的训诲，藐视以色列圣者的言语。

故若禾稿焚於火、枯草銷於焰、其根將朽、其花飛揚若塵、因其廢棄萬軍耶和華之律、藐視以色列聖者之言、

耶和華萬有之真宰、以色列族之聖主、定律例、立法度、彼蔑棄之、藐視之、故必敗亡、若火之燬稈、若燄之燃蒭、本實必撥、花蕊必謝、

故其根必若朽物、其花飛散如塵、勢如火焰焚稈、烈焰燬芻、因彼違棄萬有之主之法、藐視以色列聖主之言、

Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Flames of fire burn up straw. Dry grass sinks down into those flames. Evil people will be like plants whose roots rot away. They will be like flowers that are blown away like dust. That’s because they have said no to the law of the Lord who rules over all. They have turned against the message of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, just as fire licks up stubble and dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will rot and their flowers wither. For they have rejected the law of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the LORD of Armies, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, And dry grass collapses in the flame, So their root will become like rot, and their blossom blow away like dust; For they have rejected the Law of the Lord of armies, And discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the Lord of Hosts, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff,[ so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as flaming fire devours straw, and dry grass disintegrates in the flames, so their root will rot, and their flower will blow away like dust. For they have rejected the law of the LORD who commands armies, they have spurned the commands of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust, because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

下邊，他的根要枯乾；上邊，他的枝子要剪除。

所以，以色列的聖者如此說：「因你們藐視這話，倚賴欺壓和詭詐，以此為可靠，

響聲如戰車在山頂上跳動，如火焰吞噬碎稭，好像強大的軍隊擺陣備戰。

看哪，他們要像碎稭被火焚燒，無法救自己脫離火焰的魔掌；沒有炭火可以取暖，你也不能坐在火旁。

你大發威嚴，摧毀了你的敵人；你發出烈怒，吞滅他們如同碎稭。

因為他們是悖逆的百姓、說謊的兒女，是不肯聽從耶和華訓誨的兒女。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

撒母耳對掃羅說：「我不同你回去，因為你厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作以色列的王。」

所以，那棄絕這教導的不是棄絕人，而是棄絕那把自己的聖靈賜給你們的神。

耶穌又對門徒說：「聽從你們的就是聽從我；棄絕你們的就是棄絕我；棄絕我的就是棄絕差遣我來的那位。」

悖逆與占卜的罪相等，頑梗與拜偶像的罪孽相同。因為你厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作王。」

「我從他們面前除滅亞摩利人；他雖高大如香柏樹，強壯如橡樹，我卻上滅其果，下絕其根。

耶和華在一日之間從以色列中剪除了頭與尾－棕樹枝與蘆葦－長老和顯要就是頭，以謊言教人的先知就是尾。因為引導這百姓的使他們走入迷途，被引導的都必被吞滅。所以，主不喜愛他們的青年，也不憐憫他們的孤兒和寡婦；因為他們都是褻瀆的，行惡的，並且各人的口都說愚妄的話。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣並未轉消；他的手依然伸出。

若有人用金銀、寶石，草木、禾稭，在這根基上建造，各人的工程必將顯露，因為那日子要將它顯明，有火把它暴露出來，這火要試煉各人的工程怎樣。

「『然而，他們不順從，竟背叛你，將你的律法丟在背後，又殺害那些勸他們回轉歸向你的眾先知，犯了褻瀆的大罪。

地啊，當聽！看哪，我必使災禍臨到這百姓，是他們計謀所結的果子；因為他們不肯留心聽我的話，至於我的律法，他們也厭棄。

你們像雜亂的荊棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎稭，全然燒滅。

其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語拋在腦後。

他們卻不聽從，竟硬着頸項，像他們祖先一樣，不信服耶和華－他們的神。他們厭棄他的律例，和他與他們列祖所立的約，以及他勸戒他們的話，去隨從虛無的神明，自己成為虛妄，效法周圍的列國，就是耶和華囑咐他們不可效法的。

智慧人慚愧，驚惶，被擒拿；看哪，他們背棄耶和華的話，還會有甚麼智慧呢？

但法利賽人和律法師沒有受過約翰的洗，竟廢棄了神為他們所定的旨意。

萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪，那日臨近，勢如燒着的火爐，凡狂傲的和行惡的都如碎稭，在那日被燒盡，根與枝條無一存留。

我對以法蓮竟如蛀蟲，向猶大家竟如朽爛。

棄絕我、不領受我話的人自有審判他的；我所講的道在末日要審判他。

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜歡利汛以及利瑪利的兒子，

任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，更何況踐踏神兒子的人，他們將那使他成聖之約的血當作不潔淨，又褻慢施恩的聖靈的人，你們想，他不該受更嚴厲的懲罰嗎？

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的命令，做他眼中看為惡的事呢？你用刀擊殺赫人烏利亞，又娶了他的妻子為妻，借亞捫人的刀殺死他。現在刀劍必永不離開你的家，因你藐視我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子為妻。』

『要觀看，你們這些藐視的人，要驚訝，要滅亡，因為在你們的日子，我行一件事，雖有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。』」

以法蓮受擊打，其根枯乾，不能結果，即或生產，我也要殺他們所生的愛子。
