Nations, what you have taken in battle is destroyed. It’s as if young locusts had eaten it up. Like large numbers of locusts, people rush to get it.

你们所掳的必被敛尽，好像蚂蚱吃尽禾稼。人要蹦在其上，好像蝗虫一样。

你们的掳物必被敛尽，有如蚂蚱敛尽禾稼；人为掳物奔走，宛如蝗虫蹦跳。

他们的战利品必被拿走，就像谷物被蝗虫吃掉一样；人们像蝗虫一样扑向他们的战利品。

列国啊！你们所掳掠的必被收取，像蚂蚱收取禾稼一样；蝗虫怎样为食物忙碌走动，人也怎样在掳物上忙乱。

人收聚你们的掠物，好像蚂蚱收聚庄稼；人向掠物猛冲而上，好像成群的蝗虫向庄稼猛冲而上。

你們所擄的必被斂盡，好像螞蚱吃盡禾稼。人要蹦在其上，好像蝗蟲一樣。

擄掠之物必被收拾，像螞蚱之收拾禾稼；人必蹦在其上，像蝗蟲之蹦跳一樣。

人收聚你們的掠物，好像螞蚱收聚莊稼；人向掠物猛衝而上，好像成群的蝗蟲向莊稼猛衝而上。

爾之貨財被掠、若螣食禾、人趨赴之、如蝗之躍、

民取輜重、若蝗食蒭、民盡疾趨、若蝗迅飛。

民必斂盡爾之輜重、如蝗之食禾、疾趨而奪之、如蚱蜢疾飛、

Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts people pounce on it.

and your spoil is gathered as the caterpillar gathers; as locusts leap, it is leapt upon.

Just as caterpillars and locusts strip the fields and vines, so the fallen army of Assyria will be stripped!

Your spoil will be gathered as locusts are gathered; people will swarm over it like an infestation of locusts.

Your plunder is gathered as the caterpillar gathers; Like an infestation of locusts, people storm it.

And Your plunder shall be gathered Like the gathering of the caterpillar; As the running to and fro of locusts, He shall run upon them.

And your spoil shall be gathered as the caterpillar gathereth: as locusts leap shall men leap upon it.

Your spoil will be gathered as locusts are gathered; people will swarm over it like an infestation of locusts.

And your spoil shall be gathered[ like] the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

Your plunder disappears as if locusts were eating it; they swarm over it like locusts!

Your plunder will be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. Men will leap on it as locusts leap.

They attack a city. They run along its wall. They climb into houses. They enter through windows like robbers.

The Lord says,“ I sent a great army of locusts to attack you. They included common locusts, giant locusts, young locusts and other locusts. I will make up for the years they ate your crops.

Asa and his army chased them all the way to Gerar. A large number of Cushites fell down wounded or dead. So they couldn’t fight back. The Lord and his army crushed them. The men of Judah carried off a large amount of goods.

The ropes on your ship hang loose. The mast isn’t very secure. The sail isn’t spread out. But the Lord will strike down the Assyrians. Then a large amount of goods will be taken from them and divided up. Even people who are disabled will carry off some of it.

So Jehoshaphat and his men went down there to carry off anything of value. Among the dead bodies they found a large amount of supplies, clothes and other things of value. There was more than they could take away. There was so much it took three days to collect all of it.

They followed the trail of Aram’s soldiers all the way to the Jordan River. They found clothes and supplies all along the road. The soldiers had thrown them down when they ran away. So the men who were sent out returned. They reported to the king what they had seen.Then the people went out of the city. They took everything of value from Aram’s army camp. So 12 pounds of the finest flour sold for less than half of an ounce of silver. And 20 pounds of barley sold for the same price. That’s exactly what the Lord had said would happen.
