爾曹以色列族昔日違我、今當歸誠、

以色列人歟、爾曹悖逆主特甚、務當歸之、

Return, you Israelites, to the One you have so greatly revolted against.

People of Israel, return to the Lord. He’s the God you have so strongly opposed.

Turn to him from whom people have deeply revolted, O children of Israel.

Though you are such wicked rebels, my people, come and return to the Lord.

Return to the one the Israelites have greatly rebelled against.

Return to Him against whom you have been profoundly obstinate, you sons of Israel.

Turn ye unto him from whom ye have deeply revolted, O children of Israel.

Return to the One the Israelites have greatly rebelled against.

Turn ye unto[ him from] whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

You Israelites! Return to the one against whom you have so blatantly rebelled!

Return to him from whom you have deeply revolted, children of Israel.

“ Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord;“ for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.

And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned to Me with her whole heart, but in pretense,” says the Lord.

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

“ Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.”“ Indeed we do come to You, For You are the Lord our God.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, And their works are in the dark; They say,“ Who sees us?” and,“ Who knows us?”

but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

Moreover all the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed more and more, according to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the Lord which He had consecrated in Jerusalem.

But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart; They have revolted and departed.

“ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself:‘ You have chastised me, and I was chastised, Like an untrained bull; Restore me, and I will return, For You are the Lord my God.Surely, after my turning, I repented; And after I was instructed, I struck myself on the thigh; I was ashamed, yes, even humiliated, Because I bore the reproach of my youth.’Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For though I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says the Lord.

They are deeply corrupted, As in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.And the Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen.Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon.Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.After this he built a wall outside the City of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate; and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height. Then he put military captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.He took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord and in Jerusalem; and he cast them out of the city.He also repaired the altar of the Lord, sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it, and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel.

O Israel, return to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity;Take words with you, And return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.Assyria shall not save us, We will not ride on horses, Nor will we say anymore to the work of our hands,‘ You are our gods.’ For in You the fatherless finds mercy.”

“ Now, therefore,” says the Lord,“ Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Surely you did not hear, Surely you did not know; Surely from long ago your ear was not opened. For I knew that you would deal very treacherously, And were called a transgressor from the womb.

Alas, sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, They have turned away backward.Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, And the whole heart faints.
