Then the hordes of all the nations that fight against Ariel, that attack her and her fortress and besiege her, will be as it is with a dream, with a vision in the night—

Armies from all the nations will fight against Ariel. They will attack it and its fort. They’ll surround it completely. But suddenly those armies will disappear like a dream. They will vanish like a vision in the night.

And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, all that fight against her and her stronghold and distress her, shall be like a dream, a vision of the night.

All the nations fighting against Jerusalem will vanish like a dream! Those who are attacking her walls will vanish like a vision in the night.

All the many nations going out to battle against Ariel— all the attackers, the siege works against her, and those who oppress her— will then be like a dream, a vision in the night.

And the multitude of all the nations who wage war against Ariel, Even all who wage war against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, Will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

倏忽不見、真如夢幻、若夜間異象、頓失無所。

主勃然而興、如夢警醒、藐視其浮華兮。

眩惑四方邦國、招集角與馬各、使戰、其數如海沙、至於平陸、環聖徒之營蒙愛之邑、惟上帝自天降火以滅之、

暮時觳觫、未及黎明、已歸死亡、凡攘奪我儕者其報若是。

憾爾者皆愧怍、敵爾者俱死亡、凡與爾戰、必歸烏有、欲見無從。

巨川漲溢、淹巴比倫波濤覆之、四境荒蕪、變為曠野、無人居處、人蹤罕至。我在巴比倫必罰彼勒、所吞者使哇而出之、列邦不復歸巴比倫、其城垣傾覆、我使之然。

耶和華能力甚大、雖不遽怒、然恆於惡者、不蒙赦宥、耶和華涖臨、若颶風狂飆之驟起、視雲若足下之塵、一叱咤而海水涸、汲道絕矣、巴山加密已荒蕪矣、利巴嫩之榮華、倏然凋謝矣、在彼之前、岡嶺震動、山巒頓失、大地墳起、世人殞亡、厥怒奮發、若山巔出火、孰能自立、厥氣憤烈、若磐巖崩裂、孰能得生、耶和華無不善、凡賴之者、蒙其眷顧、患難之日、得其護衛、凡敵之者必遭昏暗、若為洪水所淹、淪胥以亡、爾謀不軌、違逆耶和華、亦奚以為、彼一擊爾、必致於死、毋庸再擊、敵沉湎於酒、若荊棘叢雜、乾燥易焚。尼尼微謀士、惟惡是作、專行不軌、悖逆耶和華、耶和華曰、敵雖眾多、安然無恙、亦必殲滅、歸於烏有、惟爾小民、昔遭患難、皆不遇害、

聲聞自地極、我耶和華欲罰列邦、降災億兆、使作惡者無不飲刃。萬有之主耶和華曰、颶風起自地極、災害延於萬邦、當斯時也、我所殺戮者、尸骸枕藉、自天涯至於地極、無人為之哀絰、無人為之瘞埋、視若糞壤。

是夕耶和華之使者、出在亞述營、擊其士卒十八萬五千、詰朝、惟見尸骸而已。

耶和華降災、其日伊邇、散耶路撒冷之財、我將和會列邦、環攻耶路撒冷、下其城、刧其室、玷其女、斯民之半、將為俘囚、其不死者、仍留於邑中、後耶和華將攻列邦、與昔殺戮諸敵無異、
