‘我父亲要死的时候叫我起誓说：你要将我葬在迦南地，在我为自己所掘的坟墓里。’现在求你让我上去葬我父亲，以后我必回来。”

吾父臨沒時、使我發誓、必葬之於迦南地所備之墓、容我往彼、葬父而返。

我父曾命我曰、當立誓、我死後、必葬我於迦南地所備之墓、今求容我往彼、葬父而返、

‘ My father made me swear an oath and said,“ I am about to die; bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now let me go up and bury my father; then I will return.’”

‘ My father made me give my word to him. He said,“ I’m about to die. Bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” So let me go there and bury my father. Then I’ll come back.’ ”

‘ My father made me swear, saying,“ I am about to die: in my tomb that I hewed out for myself in the land of Canaan, there shall you bury me.” Now therefore, let me please go up and bury my father. Then I will return.’”

Tell him that my father made me swear an oath. He said to me,‘ Listen, I am about to die. Take my body back to the land of Canaan, and bury me in the tomb I prepared for myself.’ So please allow me to go and bury my father. After his burial, I will return without delay.”

置諸己之新墓、鑿於磐者、轉大石於門墓而去、

以色列死期將至、召子約瑟曰、如為爾所愛、則當置手於吾髀下、誓以仁誠待我、勿葬我於埃及、俟我與祖父偕眠時、必攜我出埃及、葬於先人之兆、曰、必循爾命而行、曰、爾誓之、遂誓之、以色列乃倚牀頭、而崇拜焉、

又語一人曰、從我、曰、主、容我先歸葬父、耶穌曰、任死者葬其死者、爾往宣上帝之國、

復命之曰、我將歸於列祖、當葬我於吾祖父之側、在赫人以弗崙田之穴、即迦南境、與幔利相對、麥比拉田之穴、昔亞伯拉罕自赫人以弗崙、所購為業之塚地、

又一門徒曰、主、容我先歸葬父、耶穌曰、從我、任死者葬其死者、○

人苟生百子、享壽高、歷年久、而心不得享福、身不獲安葬、我謂未盈期而生者、較彼尤愈、

登高則恐懼、行路則悚惶、杏樹放葩、蝗蟲體重、酸豆失其補力、人歸永居之所、弔者往來於衢、

以色列語約瑟曰、我將死矣、惟上帝必偕爾、俾返先人之處、

掃羅謂約拿單曰、爾以所為告我、約拿單曰、我誠以所執之杖端、嘗蜜少許、我必死也、
