Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

他拉挈其子亞伯蘭、及孫羅得、即哈蘭子、並其媳、即亞伯蘭妻撒勑、咸出迦勒底之耳邑、欲往迦南、至於哈蘭居焉。

因昔爾出埃及、彼不以餅以水、迎饋其師、亦因以金賂庇耳子巴蘭、俾自米所波大米之比奪至、以咒詛爾故也。

雅各曰、兄弟奚自。曰、自哈蘭。曰、爾識拿鶴之孫拉班否。曰、識之。

哈嫩、及亞捫族、知大闢憾己、如惡惡臭、遣人賚金一百五十萬、至米所波大米、亞蘭馬迦、及鎖巴、借車騎、

故加以恩、使常侍左右、統轄全業、悉以所有歸其掌握。嗣後耶和華為約瑟故、錫嘏於其主、凡在室在田、咸蒙其祉。主悉以所有、歸約瑟掌握、於己所食外、不知有長物。約瑟丰采甚都。

此間、有怕提亞人、米太人、以攔人、居米所波大米、猶太、伽帕多家、本都、亞西亞、

雅各啟行、至於東方、

故耶和華怒以色列族、付之於米所波大米王、古山哩薩田、為其役事、凡歷八年。以色列族籲耶和華、耶和華挺生迦勒弟、基納之子阿得業援以色列族。耶和華之神感之、為以色列族士師、導之以戰、耶和華以古山哩薩田付於其手、使之獲勝。

司獄以獄囚悉畀約瑟掌理、獄中所為、惟約瑟是問。司獄不自理獄事、悉歸約瑟、蓋耶和華祐約瑟、凡其所行、無不亨通、

約瑟不從、曰、主已不與家事、以凡所有、歸我掌握。家之中我為督、我有作為、主不禁禦、但汝乃其妻、我不可犯。安可自干元惡、獲罪於上帝。

亞伯拉罕謂治理全業之老僕曰、爾當置手於我髀下、

今吾子從我言、且奔哈蘭、見舅氏拉班、
