常在庙宇吃祭偶像之物，玷污别人的妻子，

（虽然他父亲并没有作这样的事）：他在山上吃祭肉，又玷污邻舍的妻子；

常在廟宇吃祭偶像之物，玷污別人的妻子，

（雖然他父親並沒有作這樣的事）：他在山上吃祭肉，又玷污鄰舍的妻子；

而那些善事他卻不行，因為他也在山上喫了祭偶像之物，他鄰舍的妻他也玷污了；

不行上所言之善、食於山、污其鄰之妻、

( though the father has done none of them):“ He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbor’s wife.

Suppose he does these things even though his father never did.“ Suppose the son eats at the mountain temples. And he sleeps with another man’s wife.

( though he himself did none of these things), who even eats upon the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And that son does all the evil things his father would never do— he worships idols on the mountains, commits adultery,

though the father has done none of them. Indeed, when the son eats at the mountain shrines and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

( though he himself did not do any of these things), that is, he even eats at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And does none of those duties, But has eaten on the mountains Or defiled his neighbor’s wife;

and that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbor’s wife,

though the father has done none of them. Indeed, when the son eats at the mountain shrines and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And that doeth not any of those[ duties], but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,

( though the father did not do any of them). He eats pagan sacrifices on the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,

or who does not do any of those things, but even has eaten at the mountain shrines, and defiled his neighbor’s wife,

反倒回來，在耶和華禁止你吃飯喝水的地方吃了飯喝了水，因此你的屍體必不得葬在你祖先的墳墓裏。』」

「不是每一個稱呼我『主啊，主啊』的人都能進天國；惟有遵行我天父旨意的人才能進去。在那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』我要向他們宣告：『我從來不認識你們，你們這些作惡的人，給我走開！』」「所以，凡聽了我這些話又去做的，好比一個聰明人把房子蓋在磐石上。風吹，雨打，水沖，撞擊那房子，房子總不倒塌，因為根基立在磐石上。凡聽了我這些話而不去做的，好比一個無知的人把房子蓋在沙土上。風吹，雨打，水沖，撞擊那房子，房子就倒塌了，並且倒塌得很厲害。」

你們從我所學習的，所領受的，所聽見的，所看見的事，你們都要繼續去做，賜平安的上帝就必與你們同在。

神人對王說：「你就是把你一半的王宮給我，我也不跟你進去，也不在這地方吃飯喝水，

那些洗淨自己衣服的有福了！他們可得權柄到生命樹那裏，也能從門進城。

我們一切所求的，就從他得着，因為我們遵守他的命令，行他所喜悅的事。

他未曾在山上吃祭物，未曾向以色列家的偶像舉目，未曾污辱鄰舍的妻；

你們若遵行我所命令的，就是我的朋友。

未曾在山上吃祭物，未曾向以色列家的偶像舉目；未曾污辱鄰舍的妻，也未曾在婦人的經期間親近她；未曾虧負人，而是將欠債之人的抵押品還給他；未曾搶奪人的物件，卻把食物給飢餓的人吃，把衣服給赤身的人穿；

你們既知道這些事，若是去實行就有福了。

耶穌卻說：「更有福的是聽上帝的道而遵守的人！」

信心也是這樣，若沒有行為是死的。
