「我憑我的永恆起誓，巴比倫王立他做王，他卻棄約背誓，他必死在巴比倫。

他轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在立他作王、巴比伦王的京都。

主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在巴比伦，就是巴比伦王所在之处；因为巴比伦王立他为王，他竟轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。

“我凭我的永恒起誓，巴比伦王立他做王，他却弃约背誓，他必死在巴比伦。

我指着我的永生起誓：他藐视了自己所起的誓，背弃了与王所立的约，因此他必死在巴比伦，就是那立他作王的巴比伦王的国家。这是耶和华的宣告。

我指著我的永生起誓：他藐視了自己所起的誓，背棄了與王所立的約，因此他必死在巴比倫，就是那立他作王的巴比倫王的國家。這是耶和華的宣告。

主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：巴王立他做王，他竟藐視了發咒起誓的話，違反了巴王跟他所立的約；因此他一定必死在巴比倫、巴王住的地方。

彼既藐其誓、爽其約、主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼必於立之為王者之都、與之同沒於巴比倫、

我耶和華指己而誓、王子既為巴比倫王所立、藐視其主、爽其盟約、則必至巴比倫而沒、

主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、巴比倫王既立彼為王、彼乃輕視誓言、背棄盟約、必死於巴比倫王之都巴比倫、

“‘ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, he shall die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose treaty he broke.

“‘ Zedekiah will die in Babylon,’ announces the Lord and King.‘ And that is just as sure as I am alive. He will die in the land of King Nebuchadnezzar, who put him on the throne. Zedekiah didn’t keep his promise to Nebuchadnezzar and broke his treaty.

“ As I live, declares the Lord God, surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant with him he broke, in Babylon he shall die.

No! For as surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, the king of Israel will die in Babylon, the land of the king who put him in power and whose treaty he disregarded and broke.

“‘ As I live— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— he will die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke.

As I live,’ declares the Lord God,‘ In the country of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, in Babylon he shall certainly die.

‘ As I live,’ says the Lord God,‘ surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke— with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

“ As I live”— this is the declaration of the Lord God—“ he will die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke.

[ As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place[ where] the king[ dwelleth] that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake,[ even] with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

“‘ As surely as I live, declares the sovereign LORD, surely in the city of the king who crowned him, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke– in the middle of Babylon he will die!

“‘ As I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh,‘ surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the middle of Babylon he will die.

我必撒開網羅捕捉他，把他帶到迦勒底人的巴比倫。他必看不見那地方，卻要死在那裡。

又剜去他的雙眼，用銅鏈鎖著他押往巴比倫，將他終生囚在牢裡。

他起誓降服，卻棄約背誓，所以絕不能逃避後果。因此，主耶和華說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，他既藐視與我所立的誓言，背棄與我所定的約，我必懲罰他。

「『主耶和華說，你背誓毀約，我必照你的所作所為報應你。

「倘若人在什麼事上向耶和華許願或起誓，他就不可食言，必須履行諾言。

並且挖去他的雙眼，把他用銅鏈鎖著帶到巴比倫。

他鄙視惡人，尊重那些敬畏耶和華的人。他起了誓，即使吃虧也不背誓。

原來基遍人不是以色列人，他們是亞摩利人的遺民。以色列人曾起誓不傷害他們，但掃羅為以色列人和猶大人發熱心，試圖剷除基遍人。大衛就召來基遍人，

如果你不聽從，我就使青蛙來毀壞你的國土。

他說：「這是臨到全天下的咒詛，因為書卷一面寫著『凡偷盜的必被清除』，另一面寫著『凡起假誓的必被清除』。」萬軍之耶和華說：「我要使這咒詛進入盜賊和奉我的名起假誓者的家，住在他們家裡，毀滅他們的家，不留一木一石。」

猶大王西底迦逃不出迦勒底人的手，必成為巴比倫王的階下囚，被他審問、遣送到巴比倫，住在那裡一直到死。你們和迦勒底人作戰註定要失敗。這是耶和華說的。』」

巴比倫王讓約雅斤的叔叔瑪探雅代替約雅斤做王，給瑪探雅改名叫西底迦。

我們要容他們存活，免得我們因違背誓言而惹耶和華發怒。」

「不可妄用你上帝耶和華的名，違者必被耶和華定罪。

並從猶大王室中選出一人與他立約，要他效忠。巴比倫王擄去猶大國的重臣，

愚鈍無知、不守信用、無情無義、毫無憐憫。

他們說虛話，起假誓，立空盟，因此不法之事滋長，猶如田間犁溝中蔓延的毒草。

冷漠無情、不願和解、好說讒言、毫無節制、蠻橫兇暴、不愛良善、

你必逃不出巴比倫王的手心，你必在他面前受審，被帶到巴比倫。猶大王西底迦啊！你要聽耶和華的話。論到你，耶和華說，你必不會死在刀劍之下，你必安然去世。人們必為你燒香，像為你的先王燒香一樣，他們必為你哀悼說，唉，我主啊！』這是我耶和華說的。」

淫亂、同性戀、拐賣人口、說謊、起假誓的人，以及其他違反正道的人。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我要來到你們當中施行審判，速速作證指控那些行邪術的、通姦的、起假誓的、克扣工人薪水的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、冤枉異鄉人的，以及不敬畏我的。

這樹雖然被栽種了，又豈能長得茂盛呢？東風一吹，它豈不完全枯萎在園圃中了嗎？』」
