Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go to Pharaoh and say to him,‘ This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

Yahweh spoke to Moses,“ Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him,‘ This is what Yahweh says,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me.

以色列的長老們必定聽從你的話，你就跟他們一起去見埃及王，對他說，『希伯來人的上帝耶和華向我們顯現。現在請你容許我們走三天的路程，到曠野去，向我們的上帝耶和華獻祭。』

上帝說：「我必與你同在，你帶百姓離開埃及後，你們必在這座山上事奉我——這將是我派你去的證據。」

之後，摩西和亞倫去見法老，對他說：「以色列的上帝耶和華說，『放我的子民走，讓他們到曠野去為我守節期。』」

我對你說過讓我的長子出去事奉我，但你執意不肯。看啊，我要殺你的長子。』」

你要對他說，『希伯來人的上帝耶和華差遣我來告訴你，要讓祂的子民到曠野去事奉祂，但到如今你還是不肯。

人子啊，不要怕他們和他們的話，雖然你周圍佈滿荊棘和毒蠍，也不要害怕。他們是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他們的話，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。他們是叛逆的，不論他們聽不聽，你都要把我的話告訴他們。

現在，你要做好準備，去把我吩咐你的話告訴他們。不要懼怕他們，不然我將使你在他們面前充滿恐懼。看啊，今天我已使你成為堅城、鐵柱、銅牆，來對抗整個猶大，對抗猶大的君王、首領、祭司和境內的眾民。他們必攻擊你，但絕不能勝過你，因為我與你同在，我必拯救你。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華對我說：「如果你回心轉意，我就讓你重新事奉我。如果你說有益的話，不說無益的話，就可以做我的發言人，百姓便會歸向你，但你不可受他們的影響。我要使你成為堅固的銅牆，他們要攻擊你，卻不能勝過你，因為我與你同在，我會保護你，拯救你。這是耶和華說的。我要把你從惡人手中救出，從殘暴之徒的權勢下贖回。」
