Moses answered,“ The people come to me to find out what God wants them to do.

摩西回答他岳父：“因为人民到我这里来求问神。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問神。

摩西對岳父說：「他們是來求問上帝的，

摩西回答他岳父：“因為人民到我這裡來求問神。

摩西對他的岳父說：『因為人民來找我求問上帝呀。

摩西曰、民就我諮詢於上帝耳、

摩西曰、民咸就我、諮詢上帝之意耳。

摩西對外舅曰、因民就我問天主故也、

Moses answered him,“ Because the people come to me to seek God’s will.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God;

Moses replied,“ Because the people come to me to get a ruling from God.

Moses replied to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

Moses said to his father in law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said unto his father- in- law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

They kept him under guard. It wasn’t clear what should be done to him.

So Moses brought their case to the Lord.

The people kept her son under guard until they could find out what the Lord wanted them to do.Then the Lord spoke to Moses. He said,“ Get the man who spoke evil things against the Lord. Take him outside the camp. All those who heard him say those things must place their hands on his head. Then the whole community must kill him by throwing stones at him.

Listen to me. I’ll give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must speak to God for the people. Take their problems to him.Teach them his rules and instructions. Show them how to live and what to do.

Moses answered them,“ Wait until I find out what the Lord wants you to do.”

But some of them couldn’t celebrate the Passover Feast on that day. That’s because they weren’t“ clean.” They had gone near a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day.

People will bring their cases to your courts. But some cases will be too hard for you to judge. They might be about murders, attacks or other crimes. Then take those hard cases to the place the Lord your God will choose.Go to a priest, who is a Levite. And go to the judge who is in office at that time. Ask them for their decision. They will give it to you.They’ll hand down their decisions at the place the Lord will choose. You must do what they decide. Be careful to do everything they tell you to do.Act according to whatever they teach you. Accept the decisions they give you. Don’t turn away from what they tell you. Don’t turn to the right or the left.Someone might show that they don’t respect the judge. Or they will show that they don’t respect the priest. The priest will serve the Lord your God at the place God will choose. If anyone doesn’t show respect for these people, that person must be put to death. Remove that evil person from Israel.All the Israelites will hear about it. And they will be afraid to disrespect a judge or priest again.
