This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

Here is the mystery. Because of the good news, God’s promises are for Gentiles as well as for Jews. Both groups are parts of one body. They share in the promise. It belongs to them because they belong to Christ Jesus.

This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,

此即永生、亦即天主所夙許於吾人之恩諾也。

蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。即聖神亦與吾人之神魂、同證吾人之為天主兒女焉。既為兒女、即為嗣子；既為天主之嗣子、則亦為基督之共同繼承人也。惟是吾人如欲與之共榮、則不可不先與之共苦共難耳。

此亦所以使亞伯漢之福澤、藉基督耶穌之身、而普被萬民、俾吾人得因信德而領受所許之聖神也。

吾人茲以所見所聞、傳之於爾、庶幾爾曹得與吾人神交心契、而吾人實已與聖父及其聖子耶穌基督神交心契矣。

今吾人全體、乃基督之身也；各別言之、則皆此身之肢體也。

今則不然、爾托耶穌基督之恩、藉其聖血、已得化疏為親矣。蓋基督者、吾人之協和也；身受苦難、以去壁壘之隔、除法令之障。於彼之身、本族外族融成一體、以作新人、以建和平。更以此融成一體之二族、與天主協和於十字架上。十字架者、所以消滅一切敵對之意也。夫基督之來、為傳佈和平之福音。當時爾等在遐、我等在邇、其得親聆斯音則一也。總之、吾人以基督為介、彼此融洽於同一聖神之中、而得親近聖父矣。因此、爾等已不復為外人或賓旅、爾等與諸聖同為天國之公民、聖宅之家人。此聖宅、以宗徒先知為基、而有耶穌基督親充隅石；石上廣廈、經營正殷、結構日精、而規模日宏、駸駸乎將因主而成為聖殿矣。爾等亦為此廣廈之一部、聖神所建於同一隅石之上、以供天主之居停者也。

蓋爾等皆因信仰耶穌基督、而成天主之子女矣。爾中凡已領洗而歸依基督者、實已服膺基督、有如衣之被體焉。故無論猶太人也、希臘人也、奴也主也、男也女也、悉在基督耶穌之身、融為一體矣。夫爾等既屬基督即為亞伯漢之裔、亦即承恩諾之嗣子也。

庶幾諸凡生於律法之下者、悉蒙拯贖、而吾人皆獲得兒女身分。正惟吾人之為兒女、故天主以其聖子之神、注於吾人之心、俾孺慕之情、油然而生、而發為呼親喊父之聲。總之、爾如今不復為奴僕、而為兒女矣。既為兒女、則亦為天主之哲嗣也。

殊不知元首為全體之綱領、全體之筋脈骨節、賴之以生、賴之以固、賴之以調暢滋長於天主懷中。

蓋吾人皆厥身之肢體與骨肉也。

務須篤守真諦、涵養愛德、日漸月漬、暢茂條達、庶克仰配為吾人元首之基督。在元首庇蔭之下、全身組織、緊湊圓密、百節相承、股肱各司其職、使全身平衡發展、植根於愛德之中、而蔚為大觀。

且夫一人之身、具有四肢百體、所司不一。今吾人亦已因基督、而合為一體矣。

夫人之一身、具有四肢百體；肢體雖多、不外一身。基督亦然；

萬望勿與若輩同流合污也。
