我廣貯金銀、集四方貢物、以及樂官伶女、后妃嬪御、充於後宮、

又積貯金銀、與列王諸國之珍寶、又得歌男歌女、及世人所樂者、以及妃嬪、

I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well— the delights of a man’s heart.

I stored up silver and gold for myself. I gathered up the treasures of kings and their kingdoms. I got some male and female singers. I also got many women for myself. Women delight the hearts of men.

I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces. I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, the delight of the sons of man.

I collected great sums of silver and gold, the treasure of many kings and provinces. I hired wonderful singers, both men and women, and had many beautiful concubines. I had everything a man could desire!

於是，示巴女王把一百二十他連得金子、極多的香料和寶石送給所羅門王；送來的香料，從來沒有像示巴女王送給他的那麼多。

今日我已八十歲了，還能辨別美醜嗎？僕人還能嘗出飲食的滋味嗎？還能聽男女歌唱的聲音嗎？僕人何必拖累我主我王呢？

他們到了俄斐，從那裏得了四百二十他連得金子，運到所羅門王那裏。

所羅門每年所得的金子，重六百六十六他連得；

所羅門王用錘出來的金子打成二百面盾牌，每面盾牌用六百舍客勒錘出來的金子；又用錘出來的金子打成三百面小盾牌，每面小盾牌用三百舍客勒金子。王把它們放在黎巴嫩林宮裏。王又製造一個大的象牙寶座，包上純金。寶座有六層臺階，又有金腳凳，與寶座相連。座位之處兩旁有扶手，靠近扶手有兩隻獅子站立。六層臺階上有十二隻獅子站立，分站左邊和右邊；任何國度都沒有這樣做的。所羅門王一切的飲器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宮裏所有的器皿都是純金的。在所羅門的日子，銀子算不了甚麼。因王的船隻與希蘭的僕人一同往他施去，他施船隻每三年一次把金、銀、象牙、猿猴、孔雀運回來。

他們以琴瑟逍遙歌唱，為自己作曲，像大衛一樣；

希蘭曾給所羅門一百二十他連得金子。

所羅門王一切的飲器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宮裏所有的器皿都是純金的。在所羅門的日子，銀子算不了甚麼。

要用角聲讚美他，鼓瑟彈琴讚美他！擊鼓跳舞讚美他！用絲弦的樂器和簫的聲音讚美他！用大響的鈸讚美他！用高聲的鈸讚美他！

因此百姓一聽見角、號、琴、瑟、三角琴和各樣樂器的聲音，各方、各國、各族的人就都俯伏，拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

所羅門的兒子羅波安作猶大王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和華從以色列眾支派中所選擇立他名的城，作王十七年。羅波安的母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。猶大人行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，以所犯的罪惹動他的妒忌，比他們的祖先所犯的一切更嚴重。

他們打發小男孩出去，多如羊羣，他們的孩子踴躍跳舞。他們隨着琴鼓歌唱，因簫聲歡喜。

大衛和事奉團隊的眾領袖分派亞薩、希幔，以及耶杜頓的子孫唱歌，以彈琴、鼓瑟、敲鈸伴奏。他們供職的人數如下：

你們一聽見角、號、琴、瑟、三角琴、鼓和各樣樂器的聲音，就當俯伏，拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

現在，你們若準備好，一聽見角、號、琴、瑟、三角琴、鼓和各樣樂器的聲音，就俯伏拜我所造的像；若不下拜，必立刻扔在烈火的窰中，有哪一個神明能救你們脫離我的手呢？」

羅波安王製造銅盾牌代替那些金盾牌，交給看守王宮宮門的護衛長看管。

此外，還有他們的僕婢七千三百三十七名，又有歌唱的男女二百名。

他們都在父親的指導下，在耶和華的殿唱歌，以敲鈸、彈琴、鼓瑟伴奏，遵從王的指示，在神的殿裏事奉。亞薩、耶杜頓、希幔，

王用檀香木為耶和華的殿和王宮做階梯，又為歌唱的人做琴瑟；猶大地從來沒有見過這樣的。
