我之上帝耶和華、以西宏王、及王子臣民、悉付於我、為我所敗、

於是我之上帝耶和華、以巴山王噩、及其人民付於我手、為我翦滅、靡有孑遺。亞咯境為巴山王噩所統、邑共六十、悉為所取、無不服從。以上諸邑、俱有高垣、及門與楗、外此更有閭里、其數眾多、我翦滅之、及其男女長幼、如昔滅希實本王西宏然。邑中之貨財、以及牲畜、為我所得。在約但之東、自亞嫩河、及黑門山、亞摩哩二王之地、為我所取、平原諸邑、與基列、巴山四境、至巴山王噩所統之邑、撒迦、以得來、我亦取之、黑門之山、西頓人稱之為西連、亞摩哩人稱之為示溺。

爾之上帝耶和華、以他民付爾、爾勿姑縱、乃必殲滅、勿事其上帝、恐陷爾於坎阱。

以色列族擊之、據有其地、自亞嫩至雅泊溪、即亞捫族之地、蓋亞捫族地甚為險固。亞摩哩人之邑希實本、及其四周之鄉里、以色列族悉取之、居處其中。昔亞摩哩王西宏與摩押先王戰、徧取斯地、至亞嫩溪、希實本乃其都也。詩人詠之曰、希實本可復建、西宏邑可重新、越在疇昔、火自希實本、焰自西宏邑、摩押之亞耳因之悉燬、亞嫩之崇邱、藉以復得。摩押有禍乎、基抹其危哉、厥子遁逃、厥女見攘、俱亞摩哩王西宏所為也。我已射之、希實本危亡、爰及底本、我已滅之、至於挪法、近米底巴。○於是以色列族居亞摩哩人之地。摩西遣人偵伺雅設、遂破其鄉、亞摩哩人悉被驅逐。以色列族反旆、往巴山道、巴山王噩、率眾至以得來、與之戰。耶和華諭摩西曰、毋畏、我將是王、以及土地人民、咸畀於爾、汝可滅之、如都希實本之亞摩哩王西宏然。於是擊王、戮其子、攻其民、靡有孑遺、盡得其地。

爾之上帝耶和華既以之付爾、則爾勿姑縱、必攻擊之、殲滅之、勿與立約。

必使大蜂起於爾前、以驅希未人、迦南人、赫人。一年中我不逐之盡、免土地荒蕪、野獸孳生。我漸逐之、待爾昌熾、以得斯土。我延袤爾境、自紅海至非利士人海、自曠野至大河、斯土之民、付於爾手、逐於爾前。

我諭約書亞曰、爾上帝耶和華敗斯二王、其事為爾目擊、今爾所往諸國、耶和華必敗之、與昔相同、
